I've never read a translated book and it must be weird to be reading it other than its original language. Yeah he kept the cat but eventually killed because it was pestering him. It is one thing that is unforgettable.

I am glad you like the book, the translation must be nicer lol.

Well, there's a curious thing about the book I learnt fairly recently: it was only like 10 years ago that a publisher did a full translation of the book. Prior to it, all had been censored or resumed or focused on the most adventurous parts of the book, leaving aside the most religious and ethical dwellings of Crusoe

But then again, I repeat it´s 1 or 2 specif section of the book that I liked a lot. Of the rest, I barely remember anything 😁

They probably censored cannibalism lol

No, I assured you that was in it, though I would have to read the English version to know if they toned it down
