RE: From Coffee To Classic : The Book I Got For Christmas

in Hive Book Club2 years ago

Weehoo! That is a lot of reading befoire year end. Kinda like 1 book a day! WEEHOO!
I wish I had the time to spend that much time reading. I used to do years and years ago. These days I seem to spend my time handling all sort of choirs around the house when office work is not that stressful and demanding (ie when I can enjoy some free time). Coming days is such period for me. Inspired by your attempt to read 6 books in coming week, I'm gonna try to read at least a part of a book. Hopefully I manage.

Brave New World: Maybe I shall read the book. I saw the movie and must admit: I had to Google (well Presearch) to get some memories about what I've watched. Was primarily the title that I remembered. Fortunately IMDB learned me that my memories wasn't that bad. With a rating below 6 out of 10, its kinda logical I try and not remember that movie {LOL}

Peter Thiel: A great book... Well, I found the audiobook some time ago and listened to at least the first half. I think I fell asleep when listening it. Not that it is boring, but when listening the book while sofa surfing my chill coach, with all the lights in my living room dimmed, it's not that unlogical to gradually slide into dreamland {LOL}

The Peter Thiel audiobook: https://ecency.com/post/@edje/re-samgiset-jagtd {laughing: still need to finish the book}

Sort:

Hopefully, you can manage! I read the comment on the prev article, there's something about china and the us differences, so that should be interesting. And maybe, it's time for you to get the paperback? I find online version and audiobook is hard to follow through as I like to jolt down ideas and what I learned from it.

Also, the beginning of brave new world was kinda okay to me. At the moment, I am currently reading the 365 cause it's way easier to read than the other ones I got. I hope you have a nice holiday!

To be honest: not sure of the china and usa thing got mentioned by Peter Thiel, was too long ago. This comparison in that comment may just come from my own grey cells. Read and tho shall discover 😆 Started to do something similar recent years... Whenever I read a book that really requires my attention, I read one or two other books in parallel that are much easier to read. Never done that before, always read one book at a time. But it seems I select more and more difficult books to read. I guess I try to stimulate my grey cells a bit more than life does. 😂 NJOY the reads!
