All of us who love reading have felt attracted, identified or enchanted by the characters of some of the books we have enjoyed at some point in our lives.
Today I will talk about one of my favorite characters in one of the best books I have ever read.
Mare Barrow
Book: The Red Queen
Author: Victoria Aveyard.
The amazing story of a Red in a world full of Reds and Silvers (they are named after the color of their blood). The Silvered have supernatural powers, making them the leaders of a great society. Mare discovers that being red-blooded; she possesses amazing powers like the silver ones. When the silver king finds out, he makes Mare live in the castle away from her relatives. Throughout her story there are many troubling events that Mare manages to escape from.
I love this character because I saw myself reflected through her in certain parts of her long story. She is a woman who went from a situation of decay and discouragement to one of great courage and energy, I have gone through many processes in my life that have caused me a great impact even at this point, but after returning to writing I have become stronger every day, the possibility of realizing my most cherished dream is what drives me. Mare was driven by the illusion of being able to save all her Red brothers from the hands of the planned ones, that made her gain energy from where she didn't have it.
Although her temperament is a little more rebellious than mine, I easily identify with her, a woman who is feisty, dedicated and encourages everyone around her to go out and fight her fight. She went through many traumas which made her discouraged again and again, but it was enough to think things through and she regained energy to move forward and fight her enemies.
It is a science fiction saga, my favorite genre. When I started reading the first book my mind was transported to such places. With each reading comes a wonderful world which I never tire of reading.

La sorprendente historia de una Roja en un mundo lleno de Rojos y Plateados (se les llama así por el color de su sangre). Los plateados tienen poderes sobrenaturales, lo que los hace ser los líderes de una gran sociedad. Mare descubre que siendo de sangre roja; posee poderes asombrosos como los plateados. Cuando el rey plateado se entera hace que Mare viva en el castillo lejos de sus familiares. A lo largo de su historia le suceden un sin fin de acontecimientos problemáticos de los cuales Mare logra huir.
Amo a este personaje porque me ví reflejada a través de ella en ciertas partes de su larga historia. Es una mujer que pasó de una situación de decaimiento y desanimo a una de gran valentía y energía, he pasado muchos procesos en mi vida que me han causado un gran impacto aún a estás alturas, pero después de volver a retomar la escritura me he vuelto más fuerte cada día, la posibilidad de realizar mi más anhelado sueño es lo que me hace impulsarme. A Mare la impulsaba la ilusión de poder salvar a todos sus hermanos Rojos de las manos de los planeados, eso lograba que cobrara energía de dónde no tenía.
Aunque su temperamento sea un poco más rebelde que el mío, me identifico fácilmente con ella, una mujer luchadora, dedicada y que anima a todos a su alrededor para que salgan y peleen su lucha. Ella pasó por muchos traumas los cuales hicieron que muchas veces se desanimara de nuevo, pero basto con pensar bien las cosas y recobró energía para seguir adelante y combatir a sus enemigos.
Es una saga de ciencia ficción, mi género favorito. Al comenzar a leer el primer libro mi mente se transportó a dichos lugares. Con cada lectura viene a un mundo maravilloso el cual nunca me canso de leer.
