Yesterday late in the evening the last page of this book was turned.
It's the third book of the four-volume fantasy series The Mirror Visitor by young French author Christelle Dabos
It's a mesmerizing story about Ophelia, a girl engulfed in eons spanning the mystery of how the earth was torn apart and how people lived on arches under the rule of family souls, immortal beings with vast powers. Each arch is a family with special powers. Yet people are still vain, greedy, and fight each other for power. How will this naive girl survive in the strange world full of predators with unknown powers and solve the mystery. Both of the world and how it came to be and of herself and her heritage.
It would be a long post to tell you about the plots and meanders they take. For now, I am interested in your response. Has anybody else been reading these books? Thank you!
Bour no. 4 is not out yet. It is scheduled for the fall of 2021. Until then I'll dive into Ransom Riggs's Miss Peregrine' Peculiar Children series.
