El libro que quiero reseñarles hoy es uno de mis favoritos durante toda mi vida , lo que incluye, obviamente, mi vida como lectora infantil y adolescente. El poema que dio origen a este libro entrañable lo guardo dentro de mi memoria, como un tesoro.
Se trata del libro Margarita de Rubén Darío uno de los poetas más reconocidos y queridos y leídos de Latinoamérica.
Nacido en Nicaragua, Rubén Darío, ha sido reconocido como el precursor del modernismo literario en América Latina. Precoz poeta, nuestro autor ha recibido el título de Príncipe de las letras castellanas.

The book I want to review for you today is one of my favourites throughout my life, including, obviously, my life as a child and adolescent reader. The poem that gave birth to this endearing book is one that I treasure in my memory.
It is the book Margarita by Rubén Darío one of Latin America's most renowned, loved and read poets.
Born in Nicaragua, Rubén Darío has been recognised as the precursor of literary modernism in Latin America. A precocious poet, our author has received the title of Prince of Castilian Letters.
Margarita de * Rubén Darío* cuenta la historia de una princesita que sale a buscar su estrella en el firmamento. En la dedicatoria podemos leer:
”A todas las niñas valientes que salen a realizar sus sueños”
Según los analistas Margarita, fue escrito entre 1907 y 1908
El libro que tengo en mis manos, fue publicado por Ediciones Ekaré, en su décima tercera edición en el año 2006 en la ciudad de Caracas.
Las ilustraciones corresponden a Mónica Doppert.
Rubén Darío's Margarita tells the story of a little princess who goes out to look for her star in the firmament. In the dedication we can read:
"To all the brave little girls who go out to realise their dreams".
According to the analysts Margarita, it was written between 1907 and 1908.
The book I have in my hands was published by Ediciones Ekaré, in its thirteenth edition in 2006 in the city of Caracas.
The illustrations are by Mónica Doppert.
**Margarina ** es un poema lleno de fantasía, entusiasmo y amor que comienza con una nostalgia anticipada y termina con la promesa del recuerdo.
Comienza, después de la introducción nostálgica, con la forma clásica de un cuento “Este era un rey que tenía…”. Cuando encontramos a Margarita la vemos observando la estrella de su deseo y a partir de allí el poeta nos lleva de paseo “por la luna y más allá” y nos hace verla regresar resplandeciente. Después del conflicto con el padre por haber salido sin permiso, la historia se resuelve, en total felicidad, con la mayor suntuosidad posible.
No es menos hermosa y sensible la despedida del poeta a la niña que inspiró el poema.
Margarita is a poem full of fantasy, enthusiasm and love that begins with an anticipatory nostalgia and ends with the promise of remembrance.
It begins, after the nostalgic introduction, in the classic form of a fairy tale "This was a king who had...". When we meet Marguerite we see her looking at the star of her desire and from there the poet takes us on a walk "to the moon and beyond" and makes us see her return shining. After the conflict with the father for having left without permission, the story is resolved, in total happiness, with the greatest possible sumptuousness.
No less beautiful and sensitive is the poet's farewell to the girl who inspired the poem.
