Hello community, @stevenson7 here, in this post I will be sharing the recording of our previous HIVE Bookclub Voice Chat.

Last Saturday, 12th of February 2021 we had our thirteenth official book voice chat and it was one of the best.

The topic was:

Topic: Which scene from a book that you read, has stuck with you the most?

The book I am currently reading prompted me to choosing this topic.

  • As it is customary, I went first. After reading half of Man's Search for Meaning by Victor Frankl the scenes seemed to be stuck to my head. Albeit I have only just read it, but the vividly description and the gruesome and inhumane treatment of people in the concentration camps really struck me.
  • @khaleesii talked about the book The fault in our stars by John Greene. Everybody seemed to have something to say about the book, especially its movie adaptation.

  • @osarueseosato talked about part of the scene in the book King Solomon's Mines by H. Rider Haggard.

  • @khoola had an iffy network but he shared Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown.

  • @wolfofnostreet couldn't speak on voice but she listened all through the session and used the text-chat.

This is arguably one of the most enjoyable sessions we've had. We went from talking about books, to disection deep philosophical life questions. Its what a good book does, and its exactly what the voice chat is all about. We could have talked for hours but we had to end the session. I gurantee you would enjoy listening to it.

Please do drop any topic you would like us to discuss for the next meeting or any feedback at all down, below in the comments.

Every saturday the hive book club Admins organise a voice chat where booklovers come to talk about books and all. Nothing official, just a casual chat of random folks with similar interest, having a chat. You can also opt to stay mute. Just listening in, is fine. You can join through this discord link. Also follow our twitter as we would be moving to twitter space pretty soon.
Do also invite your friends. Till next Saturday. cheers.

It was an amazing session, can't wait for the next.

I think we can discuss what character in a book you think was severely wronged by the author

Thank you for attending and thank you for your suggestion.

See you next Saturday.

Thank you.
