Hey, my fellow bookworm! Just like most of you, I also dream of having my own mini library someday. A realistic book collection would be just a cabinet size medium collection. More than that would be too much for me because let's be honest, we can't really read them all. Buying a book is a hobby itself separate from actually reading the book.
As of today, these are my current collection of books. Most of these are second hand books I bought online while others are printed and hand stitched by myself. I also keep random magazines from health shops, travel brochures, and finance newsletter I receive over time.
Half of the month in, I finally decide to pick some books to read during my free time. The process of picking books from my own collection feels so ecstatic. It's like shopping in my own closet.
My current reads
I'm currently picking 6 books to read simultaneously. Some of these I've already read in the past but love to reread again. These are actually poetries and non fiction books.
This famous japanese book teaches the concept of finding balance in all that you do. A well researched book which studies the people in Okinawa province, where people reach a hundred years, and their lifestyle in general.
What I know for sure written by Oprah Winfrey consist of series of short stories about her experiences which are truly inspiring. I've read this during the pandemic and would love to be inspired again.
A Woman Makes A Plan by Maye Musk is another empowering story about the life of Maye Musk, the mother of no less than Elon Musk. I must say, she is very strong and tough. I also commend her way of raising her children as a single mom of three because she lets them be, support their dreams, and just a cool mom in general.
The Secret is a spiritual book that incorporates science and spirituality. It teaches the law of attraction as well as provide stories about its success.
There are still so many books in my collection that I haven't read yet. So I made a pact to only buy new books after reading each one from my collection.
I hope I could finish these books by the end of the month.

The secret is no doubt a great read and it's one of those books that's focused solely on practicing spirituality in a practical way Instead of just theorizing everything like many of the new books do today.
