Hi! I wasn't familiar with this book or the author, but I'm intrigued by what you said about it feeling like reading a personal diary. Sometimes those short books you can read in one sitting are just what you need to disconnect for a while and reflect. Your point about it remaining somewhat superficial is interesting; I suppose that because they are such personal experiences, it's sometimes difficult for the author to be 100% open, even though the intention to heal is there.
