LO QUE HACEN LOS LECTORES
Dos cosas acerca del libro El caballero de la armadura oxidada, en el que me acabo de ocupar por segunda vez. La primera: que se puede leer de un tirón. Es una historia sencilla, escrita con un lenguaje ameno, sin adornos ni pompas discursivas; una historia bonita, que sirve para los momentos en que nos encontramos saturados de ideas acerca de nuevos proyectos, saturados de la avalancha comunicativa sobre la guerra, las protestas, las luchas intestinales entre los políticos de todos los países y de toda esa revuelta ideológica en la que un grupo ha metido al mundo.
Este libro, repito, de fácil lectura le permite a uno aislarse por un momento del mundo virtual y terrenal, y ahí viene lo segundo que quiero decir, que debido a su aparente sencillez, su historia, enmarcada en temas de autoayuda, nos recuerdan verdades tan simples, pero profundas a la vez que sirven para hacer un alto y reflexionar.
No voy a enumerar citas para intentar convencerlos de que lean el libro, no, la lectura debe ser un acto espontáneo para que se vuelva frecuente, debe ser frecuente para convertirlo en hábito y deber se un hábito para que pueda asumirse como una pasión particular, como un placer irrefrenable y en ese sentido la idea es que las personas decidan, por voluntad propia, leer.
Lo que realmente importa es eso, crear el vínculo con el libro; ya, cuando somos lectores cada quien decide qué, cómo y cuándo leer, además del tipo de lectura. En mi caso particular no leo literatura de autoayuda, no porque la considere de menor categoría, respeto los gustos de cada quien, pero este libro me acompaña desde hace muchos años; de joven lo leí y me ayudó a ver la coraza que llevaba y especialmente a quitármela de encima. No recordaba dónde estaba hasta que hace dos días lo hallé en un rincón y sin pensarlo me olvidé de lo que estaba creando, de las redes sociales y sus desinformaciones, de los problemas domésticos y sus cercos.
Lo leí para mí, pensando que tal vez me ayudaría a levantar corazas contra la nostalgia y el dolor, contra las incongruencias del mundo actual, contra aquello que no puedo cambiar, pero que necesito entender para poderlo asimilar. Finalmente lo leí porque soy un lector y eso hacen los lectores, leer libros.
WHAT READERS DO
Two things about the book The knight in rusty armor, which I have just read for the second time. The first: it reads in one sitting. It is a simple story, written in a pleasant language, without ornaments or discursive pomp; a nice story, which serves for the times in which we are saturated with ideas about new projects, saturated with the avalanche of communication about war, protests, infighting among politicians in all countries and all this ideological revolt in which a group has put the world.
This book, I repeat, easy to read, allows one to isolate oneself for a moment from the virtual and earthly world, and here comes the second thing I want to say, that due to its apparent simplicity, its story, framed in self-help themes, reminds us of truths so simple, but profound at the same time that serve to make a stop and reflect.
I am not going to list quotes to try to convince you to read the book, no, reading must be a spontaneous act for it to become frequent, it must be frequent to become a habit and it must be a habit so that it can be assumed as a particular passion, as an irrepressible pleasure and in that sense the idea is that people decide, of their own free will, to read.
What really matters is that, to create the link with the book; already, when we are readers, each one of us decides what, how and when to read, besides the type of reading. In my particular case I don't read self-help literature, not because I consider it a lesser category, I respect everyone's tastes, but this book has been with me for many years; when I was young I read it and it helped me to see the armor I was wearing and especially to get rid of it. I did not remember where it was until two days ago I found it in a corner and without thinking about it I forgot about what I was creating, about social networks and their disinformation, about domestic problems and their fences.
I read it for myself, thinking that maybe it would help me to build up armor against nostalgia and pain, against the incongruities of today's world, against that which I cannot change, but which I need to understand in order to assimilate. I finally read it because I am a reader and that is what readers do, read books.
Un gran libro, lo leí en mi época escolar y todavía lo conservo. Creo que seria bueno darle una releída. Me encantó la reflexión final de lo que hacen los lectores porque es cierto, leemos libros, sino lo hiciéramos no seriamos lectores. Abrazos!

No recuerdo haber leído este libro, pero si lo recuerdo en la biblioteca de mi casa... Es curioso, en mi época de lector asiduo y diverso (antes de sumergirme en libros sapienciales como el Gita, El Tao, la Biblia y otros) solía "tragarme" los libros de la biblioteca de mi madre, pero este creo que me faltó... Un día de estos lo busco y veo si me engancho... ;)

Lo he leído y está en mi pequeña biblioteca. Me gustó tanto que también me compré otro que lo analizaba paso a paso desde una perspectiva psicoanalítica. Este no me gustó nada pero no logró empañar el disfrute del primero.
La historia es como dices, sencilla y llena de buenas enseñanzas para la vida. 🤗
