Solitario de Alice Oseman
Bienvenidos a mi post queridos lectores, el día de hoy compartiré con ustedes un libro que terminé de leer recientemente. Es gracioso porque lo escogí al azar, no tenía muchas ganas de leer nada, quizás estoy pasando por una crisis de bloqueo en general, porque no he tenido ganas de nada en estos días.
Welcome to my post dear readers, today I will share with you a book I finished reading recently. It's funny because I chose it at random, I didn't really feel like reading anything, maybe I'm going through a blocking crisis in general, because I haven't felt like anything these days.
Tengo tantos libros por leer y tan pocas ganas, que el simple hecho de escoger cual leer primero me estresa. Los abrí todos y escogí el que tenía menos páginas, lo sé es tonto, pero así fue como descubrí Solitario, el nombre en general es bastante interesante, pero no resultó ser lo que yo pensé que sería.
I have so many books to read and so little desire, that just picking which one to read first stresses me out. I opened them all and chose the one with the fewest pages, I know it's silly, but that's how I discovered Solitaire, the name in general is quite interesting, but it didn't turn out to be what I thought it would be.
Les voy a contar un poco de lo que me imaginé, por el nombre Solitario, pensé en un chico como protagonista, literalmente un chico solitario. Para mi gran sorpresa, no es un chico, nuestra protagonista, Tori Spring sin dudas es una chica ¿solitaria? tal vez, pero ella no es solitario ¿Qué o quién es solitario? Es difícil de explicar, pero no tengo que esforzarme demasiado, porque no lo voy a hacer ¿qué sentido tiene que lo haga? ninguno. Ni siquiera Tori sabe qué es solitario en realidad. Todo comenzó con esos post-its, si no los hubiera seguido, quizás nada de esto hubiera pasado, su vida aburrida pero tranquila iba bien, a sus ojos todo estaba bien, ella estaba bien, todo bien.
I'm going to tell you a little bit of what I imagined, because of the name Solitaire, I thought of a boy as the main character, literally a lonely boy. To my great surprise, it's not a boy, our protagonist, Tori Spring is undoubtedly, a lonely girl? maybe, but she's not solitaire, what or who is solitaire? It's hard to explain, but I don't have to try too hard, because I'm not going to, what's the point of me doing it? none. Even Tori doesn't know what solitaire really is. It all started with those post-its, if she hadn't followed them, maybe none of this would have happened, her boring but quiet life was going well, in her eyes everything was fine, she was fine, everything was fine.

Too much thinking too little doing, all fake and cliché. Everything is wrong and Tori is tired of never doing anything. The world is dead, she is dying and no one cares. She is alone in this, she always has been, maybe the crazy one is her and everything is fake, Michael Holden, lonely and herself.
A lo largo de la historia Tori descubre que Solitario vino a acabar con toda su estabilidad ¿o quizás está paranoica? nada tiene sentido, pero todo tiene un trasfondo, absurdo, pero lo tiene. Solo necesita a alguien que la haga cambiar, una persona que la salve de ella misma y su pesimismo. Como lo dice la portada del libro, “Esta no es una historia de amor”.
Throughout the story Tori discovers that Solitaire came to end all her stability, or maybe she is paranoid? nothing makes sense, but everything has a background, absurd, but it does. She just needs someone to make her change, someone to save her from herself and her pessimism. As the cover of the book says, "This is not a love story".
Necesito leer otra obra de esta autora. Esta historia me hizo pensar en mi vida, inconscientemente me identifiqué con Tori y su forma de pensar, “todo se está muriendo y a nadie le importa, nadie hace nada”. Seguro que después de leer este libro tu perspectiva de la vida cambie, tal vez valores más tu vida y a la gente que te rodea.
I need to read another work by this author. This story made me think about my life, I unconsciously identified with Tori and her way of thinking, "everything is dying and nobody cares, nobody does anything." I'm sure that after reading this book your perspective on life will change, maybe you will value your life and the people around you more.
