If you say this one is a bit disappointing, I don't think I'll ever pick it up. I enjoyed The Pillars of the Earth and even that book was a little challenging to read and pick up. But who knows? I might be interested in this one. Thanks for giving me a bit to consider before purchasing one 😄

Haha! That's completely fair @macchiata - I should say that this one just didn't click with me in the same way that 'Pillars of the Earth' did. But you might end up enjoying 'Circle of Days' more than I did, esp. if the premise appeals to you. I'd suggest borrowing it from a local library if you get the chance, as opposed to buying it outright... If you do read it, I'd love to hear what you think!
