RE: The Vegetarian by Han Kang (ENG-SPA)

in Hive Book Clublast month

I heard briefly of this author and the title of the book. I think the title itself is very striking because it actually is the symbol of something deeper. While a lot of people may argue this is feminist fiction, I'd like to think it's more than that. Anyway, this was interesting read and it's a book I want to read more and explore as I've only read reviews on youtube and haven't really experiencing the work myself.

You are right! The book is very well written, and it has several layers that merit a thoughtful read to understand beyond the plot. After having read it, I assure you that it is not feminist, just part of the deeply human experience. You may like it or not. It may even make you uncomfortable, but in the end, the time invested will not be wasted.
