I loved the way you explained using the apple as an example. The world we live in today is full of distractions, and aside the distractions there's a whole lot of things happening that's pulling, dragging and contending for our attention, thereby making us lose focus... Especially in a country like Nigeria.
But like you said, we shouldn't get trapped in regrets and worries, and we shouldn't be anxious of tomorrow. Reminds me of the Bible passage that says, "do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.”
