Hello folk, have you ever heard the quote "If you win, you live. If you lose, you die. If you dont fight, you can't win!" these quote from Eren Yeager is the main character in the manga Shingeki no Kyojin or Attack on Titan. I want to participate on Hive Book Club Contest hosted by @hivebookclub. At this post, i want to share one of my favorite manga that is Attack on Titan.
The opening narration of the story in the manga "one hundred years ago, humans faced a new enemy with enormous power called the titan. As a result, humanity is threatened with extinction. The surviving humans built a wall 50 meters high and lived 100 years peacefully within it".
This manga tells about the journey of a boy named Eren Yeager who lives in the Shigansina district on a remote island called Paradise Island. Since childhood, Eren and his two friends named Mikasa and Armin have been eager to explore the outside world, because the place they live in is enclosed by a 50 meter high wall and outside the walls there are many titans who like to prey on humans.
One day, suddenly at one point of the wall appeared a very large titan as high as 65 meters which was called the Colossal Titan and destroyed one of the walls protecting the village of Shigansina. As a result of that incident, the titans from outside the walls were able to enter the Shigansina district and eat the people inside the walls. Eren and Mikasa were rescued by one of the kingdom's security officers, but Eren's mother could not be saved and was eaten by the Smile titan in front of Eren's own eyes.
Because of this incident, Eren, Mikasa, and Armin decided to join the reconnaissance squad with the aim of killing all the titans outside the walls so they could feel freedom and not just be confined inside the walls. During Eren's training to become a scout member, Eren met important figures in the Attack on Titan manga series including Levi, Hange, Bertold, Sasa, Marco, ect.
Together with his troops, Eren and his friends practice using 3d maneuvers to attack the titans. However, after five years of no Titan attacks, the Colossal Titan suddenly reappears and destroys the walls in the Trest District. because of the act of the Colossal Titan who made a hole in the wall, the titan from outside the wall entered and ate the humans in the city and the titans preyed on humans one by one. One of Eren's friends, Armin, was also devoured by a titan and Eren immediately saved him. But unlucky, Eren himself was eaten by a titan.
Suddenly a mysterious titan appears and attacks other titans in the city. The identity of the titan is Eren Yeager, who is thought to have been eaten by a titan. but this is the first time that humanity can win against a titan. In a confused state of consciousness Eren said "bring this key to open the basement in the house".
On the next occasion, Eren and Troop 104 were invited to investigate the secrets in the basement of Eren's house. It was on this mission that the Female Titan suddenly appeared and attacked the reconnaissance troop and attacked Eren. In the end, the identity of the female Titan was discovered, namely Annie Leonhearth, a reconnaissance troop 104.
The mission to go to the basement of Eren's house did not go smoothly. On this mission the reconnaissance troop meets a Titan shaped like a monkey and can attack humans by throwing stones. Throwing stones is like throwing bombs and very deadly when hit by humans. On this mission the Commander of the reconnaissance troop died on the battlefield.
On the other hand, Eren faced the enemy Armored Titan and Colossal Titan and resulted in Armin who almost died from attacking the Colossal Titan. But when Armin was about to die, Captain Levi gave Armin titan serum fluid and Armin turned into a mindless titan. After turning into a mindless titan, Armin eats Bertold's body so that Armin becomes a Titan Shifter inheriting the colossal power of Bertold's titan.
in the end Eren and his troops were able to open the dungeon and find a photo and three large books containing world history. The founder, Ymir Fritz got the power of a titan and oppressed other nations. Even at the time of his death, he divided his soul into nine titans and founded the Eldia empire. However, the oppressed nation, the Marley nation, succeeded in seizing the seven titan powers from the Eldians and causing the Eldians to collapse.
King Fritz, who inherited the power of the pioneering titan, didn't want to fight and chose to exile himself on Paradise Island and create three large walls to protect his citizens and kingdom. But there were still Eldians who did not come with king Fritz to Paradise island. The Eldians who were left behind were later called Ymir's descendants and were discriminated against by the Marley people.
Eren and his friends realize that the real enemies are the humans outside Paradise Island. When he found a beautiful beach and that was Eren's dream with Armin and Mikasa, Eren said "Across the sea this is our real enemy, if we can eliminate all the humans out there will we be free?". On the other side of Paradise Island, the people of Marley have been preparing to face the forces on Paradise Island along with the power of the Titans. This forced Eren to move on and fight for victory for his childhood friends Eren and save the Eldians.
I think part one is enough for now, there is still a second part which is of course even more exciting with the storyline. The Attack on Titan manga series is very relevant to the picture of our lives today. Strong people discriminate against weak groups because history is not necessarily true. One more of Eren's words that I like is "I will keep going and nothing can stop me".

The story of Attack on Titans is, simply put, shocking. It was the first anime I watched seriously and I was completely caught up in this world, and I'm sure the manga is just as amazing. I can't wait to find out how this great story ends 🥺

I have enjoyed the past few seasons of Attack on Titans very much, and even the last one gave me twists and turns I did not expect. Just as I did not expect the evolution of Eren's character towards this direction.

Thank you for the compliment. one of the reasons why Attack on Titan is the best manga and anime in my opinion is because of the development of the characters Eren, Mikasa, and Armin. I also felt some of the plot twists in the story were perfect.
AOT, one of my all time favorites. I haven’t read the manga but I’m very sure it’s as good as it’s anime. Commander Levi is my favorite character. Dude is so cool and classy

I never read the manga for this as well. I think many watched this and those that read it said the manga/novel is better ? Anyways I'm waiting for the final season part 3 if not wrong! It's going to be out this year! can't wait to see the ending. I think everyone loved this anime. Great story, great meaning and great fight scenes.
there is no best choice because both reading the manga and watching the anime provide the best experience. In the final season, Mappa executed the Attack on Titan manga very well, if you are still patiently waiting for the final anime which will probably be released in the end of this year.
woah don't spoil me on this . Yes I'm waiting for the final part for this final season ahha. I see thanks for your opinion. I'll have to see what's the difference after the anime is released. I don't want to read yet until I seen the last part of the anime
I think that everyone that gets the chance to see this story will definitely get obsessed with it. It is a true masterpiece in every sense. It shocks you from the very beginning to the very end.
