Today I want to share my short review of Alexander Kuprin's wonderful work - "The Pit". The review itself was waiting for its time in the draft of the distant 2017, and it is even more interesting to publish it to demonstrate how I wrote 6 years ago.
"Having recently finished listening to Oleksandr Kuprin's audiobook "The Pit". Just like when I was in school, it was much more interesting to play football than to read some books. And during the student years, all the time was spent on studying special literature.
I can't describe exactly why, but the work "The Pit" stuck in my mind for a long time.
I was most impressed by the author's ability to convey the "psychology" of each character. The way he does it easily makes me think of his great spiritual development and subtle knowledge of psychology.
The work describes the psychology of a prostitute, a pimp, a thief, a student, an actress, a drunkard, a coward, a gossip, a suicide, a policeman, a doctor... you can list all the characters.
In addition to the thin psychological thread of each character, the truthfulness of this work is impressive. It feels like the reviewers missed this work. I don't even show how it was possible to publish this during the time of Soviet power.
Somehow. Even somehow it became easier when I left a small mark in the letters, after reading "The Pit". Maybe now he will let go of the aftertaste from the read :)"

Сьогодні хочу поділитись своїм коротким відгуком на чудовий твір Олександра Купріна - "Яма". Сам відгук чекав свого часу в чорновику далекого 2017 року, від того ще цікавіше його опублікувати, щоб продемонструвати як я писав 6 років тому.
«Нещодавно закінчивши слухати аудіокнигу Олександра Купріна "Яма". Так, як у шкільні роки мені було куди цікавіше пограти у футбол, ніж читати якісь книги. А в роки студентства весь час витрачалося на вивчення спеціальної літератури.
Не можу точно описати, чому, але твір «Яма» надовго застряг у мене в свідомості.
Найбільше мене вразило вміння автора передати "психологію" кожного персонажа. Те, як він легко це робить, наштовхує мене на думки про його великий духовний розвиток і тонке знання психології.
У творі чудово, не побоюсь цього слова, описані психології повії, сутенера, злодія, студента, актриси, пияки, боягузза, пустослова, самогубці, поліцейського, лікаря... так можна перераховувати всіх персонажів.
Крім тонкої психологічної нитки кожного персонажа, вражає правдивість цього твору. Таке відчуття, що рецензенти пропустили повз даний твір. Навіть не являю, як таке вдалось опублікувати в часи радянської влади.
Якось так. Навіть якось легше стало, коли залишив маленький слід у літерах, після прочитання "Ями". Може тепер відпустить післясмак від твору:)
