I want to, but I can't agree with you.

No one has the right to tell another person what they can and can't do with their own property (obviously considerations apply.)

And its not like the owners are instigating public or private book burning parties.

I think it will be much more telling and beneficial for future historians to see the stupidity of our current culture. The rest of us can just keep reading the old versions 😁

And, I expect that a new version would probably get a new start date for its copyright and begin a new 70 year period. Just saying!

If the author were alive, I would probably agree with you, but this is not the case.
