This immortal creation of Rabindranath Tagore leaves a mark in many minds frequently. I sat down to read the book when this song started playing in my mind. Love is eternal. Love is true. Love is beautiful. If one can love the person of the heart by pouring out mind and soul, if the turbulent river of love can be filled to the brim, only then does love become successful. Then two loving hearts float away in the tide of love. But can every love boat survive until the end? Can everyone love the person of their heart by pouring out mind and soul? Many perhaps don't even get the chance to open up their heart's words, before expressing love, they get trapped in various societal barriers, many lovers suffer unbearable death while the innocent love growing in their womb. We often have to witness this cruelty of society. It brings a slight taste of separation to the corners of the eyes. Yet life moves forward. It has to move forward.
Story Summary
A very simple love story “শিশির জলের নোলক”. I hope with this much brief story, everyone will get the full flavor of the book.
The heroine of the story is Avantika. She has grown up at her elder uncle's place since childhood. Right after her mother's death, Avantika's father left her and went to America to ostracize himself from society. Later, he got bound in a new family there. While leaving, he left the daughter with his elder brother. Avantika also knows the uncle as father and his wife as mother since childhood. Gradually Avantika grows up. After finishing studies, while searching for a job, one day she gets the golden deer. An attempt has been made to highlight the family discord of Avantika's elder sister Shrabonti unnecessarily. The phase of Shrabonti's incompatibility with her marine engineer husband and then accepting after some time covered quite a bit.
On the other hand, the hero of the story Arnab, very talented, was a student of Dhaka University at one time. But when his father was a high government official, he went to jail in a case of embezzlement, that night his mother died. Since then, Arnab doesn't touch the roof of that house and stays at a tea shop day and night. He loves to drink a few cups of tea during the day and smokes occasionally. Since the tea shop is in front of Avanti's house, there are eye contacts, smiling gestures, etc. between them. Arnab had a good name in the neighborhood once, as a good boy. But after his father's arrest, everyone looks at him sideways. Because polluted blood flows in his body. But thinking about all this, Avanti used to feel pain occasionally.
After long eighteen years, suddenly Avanti's father decided to return to the country and take his daughter to America. He will settle the daughter in a good family. Though the elder brother and sister-in-law felt pain in their minds due to this decision, they stayed with a stone on their chest. Meanwhile, Avanti's father returned to the country with his foreign wife and children. Avanti's brother Deepu had thalassemia disease. In a critical moment, Arnab gave blood to Deepu. Seeing that, when Avanti went to thank Arnab, taking the opportunity Arnab proposed marriage to Avantika. On the other side, Avanti's father saw his daughter with Arnab in a rickshaw and called him home. After talking, he liked Arnab. Gradually the day of going abroad approached, before leaving, Avanti's father told the elder brother that he wanted to marry his daughter to Arnab. The elder brother became very happy hearing it. In joy, he shed tears silently.
Thereafter, Avanti and Arnab started living in happiness and peace.
Language Analysis
No writer intentionally writes badly. Reading this book, it felt that perhaps on a whim, the author wanted to create some low-quality laughter in the reader's mind. Use of medium-level words. It can be said there is no noteworthy quote. The dialogues outside the main story will probably cause annoyance, in my opinion.
Reading Reaction
Questions arose about the justification of the naming after reading the book. “শিশির জলের নোলক” is not a name consistent with the story. In this case, perhaps this name was selected to attract the reader's attention. Though it is a small book, I took three days to read because annoyance kept coming in between. There is a special reason for buying and reading the book, I thought Batighar does not publish unless it is very exceptional story. This story is such that it blew away my thought into dust. However, if the author had removed the unnecessary parts and published it in short story form, the story would have been quite nice. The unnecessary coming and going of side characters will undoubtedly poison the reader's mind. A couple of inconsistencies caught the eye, I would not have known that in this country a girl can finish graduation and join a job between 19-20 years if I hadn't read this book. However, I gave a few lines from the book that I liked.
A for abandon bad company. A for mine of laziness fault.
The youth will change the country with honesty and morality, the country where the scent of wet soil spreads a pure whiteness, people look in amazed wonder at the wildflowers smiling on the vast grass, in the patter of rain, the face of the beloved person floats before the eyes.
The shiny golden light in the gaps of new leaves and the playful game of clouds is utterly emotionless.
Sin does not stay in a person's blood, sin stays in his actions, in his thoughts.
Enduring silent screams silently is very difficult.
Note: This is probably the author's second novel. As a new writer, criticizing other writers does not suit at all. So I feel this effort of mine is nothing but audacity to me. And this review is entirely my opinion. Forgive unintentional offenses.
