Absolutely an amazing book. Wyndham is underrated imo - his stories are always so perfect. I'm definitely going to read this again, it's been a while. One of the first I read as a kid migrating from YA via my parents bookshelf.

I do not recall if I read this book as a younger version of myself. It feels like a first read. If it isn't, it was a joy to have no recollection of the first time of experiencing it.
