Este es un cuento escrito por Christopher, un adolescente de 15 años que esta diagnosticado con el trastorno del espectro autista, no se especifica en que categoría de esta condición se encuentra, sin embargo, por las características del libro parece ser de alto funcionamiento o rendimiento.
Christopher, es un chico muy singular con intereses por los problemas matemáticos, la lógica y temas un tanto complejos, no comprende las mentiras ni las situaciones con doble sentido y sigue al pie de la letra las reglas, es lo que se puede decir una persona modelo, pero esto lo hace por simple naturalidad, a su vez, es un chico que le gusta la lluvia, el color rojo y los números primos, de hecho, enumero su libro de esta forma, lo que hace un tanto particular.
Ahora bien, lo interesante del libro es que decide escribirlo para resolver el misterioso asesinato del perro de su vecina, llamado Wellington, pero lo que no sabe es que con esta investigación descubrirá muchas cosas que pondrán al revés su ordenada y categorizada vida, pasara por situaciones inconcebibles para su manera de comprender el mundo y conocer eso desde la perspectiva de alguien dentro del espectro es muy enriquecedor.

Mi opinión sobre el libro…
La lectura definitivamente no es como cualquier libro, tiene sus facetas cómicas, y otras que causan impresión, pero también me encontré con momentos en los que me desesperaba la lectura, me imaginé a Christopher en la mayoría de la historia hablando de forma rápida y metódicamente.
También me encontré con constantes saltos de tema, lo cual no es nada normal en una historia, en un momento se puede estar leyendo sobre su amor a las matemáticas y de repente puede soltar una explicación sobre las estrellas y la conformación de estas, es un libro muy nutritivo, pero admito que estos saltos me desconciertan un poco, y esto me llevo en ciertas ocasiones al desespero e incomprensión.
Entonces me pregunte, ¿si por esta lectura me desespero un poco, como será vivir con una forma distinta de ver, comprender y aprender las cosas fuera de lo convencional? Porque la lectura es todos sus aspectos trata sobre alguien con esta condición tratando de encajar y entender la “normalidad” que comúnmente manejamos como sociedad.
Me hace pensar en que no estamos preparados para lo distinto, pero esto, si está preparado para acoplarse a nosotros y sino es así entonces hace el intento, y ¿cómo es que esto puede funcionar sin llevarlos al límite?, es decir, estas personas lo intentan, pero también terminan reprimiéndose para lograr encajar y cuando se encuentran con situaciones en las que no se siguen las normativas, (naturalmente es cuando un neurotípico dice alguna mentira o inflige alguna regla),se torna algo desesperante para ellos, como lo podrán observar en la lectura si deciden leerla.
De acuerdo con esto, toca ser empáticos y amables, como dicen muchas personas, no se sabe que batallas está luchando la otra persona, en este caso, no se sabe si la persona se siente parte de este mundo, y eso puede ser un poco tormentoso.

My opinion of the book....
The reading is definitely not like any book, it has its comical facets, and others that make an impression, but I also found myself with moments where I despaired of reading, I imagined Christopher in most of the story speaking quickly and methodically.
I also found myself with constant topic jumps, which is not at all normal in a story, one moment you can be reading about his love of mathematics and suddenly he can drop an explanation about the stars and the conformation of these, it is a very nourishing book, but I admit that these jumps baffled me a little, and this led me at certain times to despair and incomprehension.
Then I asked myself, if I despair a little because of this reading, what will it be like to live with a different way of seeing, understanding and learning things outside the conventional? Because the reading is all about someone with this condition trying to fit in and understand the "normality" that we commonly deal with as a society.
It makes me think that we are not prepared for the different, but this, if it is prepared to fit in with us and if it is not so then it makes the attempt, and how is it that this can work without taking them to the limit, that is, these people try, but they also end up repressing themselves to fit in and when they encounter situations in which the regulations are not followed, (naturally it is when a neurotypical tells a lie or inflicts some rule), it becomes something desperate for them, as you can see in the reading if you decide to read it.
According to this, it is time to be empathic and kind, as many people say, you do not know what battles the other person is fighting, in this case, you do not know if the person feels part of this world, and that can be a bit stormy.
