Many say that once you have more money, your tastes increase to absorb the extra so it doesn't make much difference, but I think that I am pretty level-headed in this and don't believe I would spiral much further up, because I don't value "stuff" as much as I used to
You may not value "stuff" but it's entirely possible that you would suddenly "need" the cleaner to help free up even more precious time, and while you're not that into cars and a "good enough" car that gets you from A to B might suddenly also need heated seats and be spacious and comfortable for those road trips and other holidays you've always wanted to go on now that money isn't an issue, and the little bits and pieces that make the house look and smell nice and feel more welcoming, and all those experiences that you'd love smallsteps to have...
"maybe" projecting "a little" as there are so many things I would have loved to do when I was homeschooling but resources was hard stopping most of it
But you're (collective you/us not you personally) never "going overboard" because "it just makes sense" and "you may as well" because you can and you're sensible and level headed xD
Scope creep can be really hard to recognise even when you're in a job where you have to recognise it x_x
I'm not saying anything at all about being in a job and recognising scope creep and having other people who have literally no idea what they're talking about INSIST that the creep "isn't that big a deal" and "should only take a few minutes"
I couldn't tell you a number because I'm terrible at numbers. Fortunately J exists. Though amusingly we're slightly at odds as both of us agree we don't need much but disagree on how much that is XD
