“Humanists At Risk: Action Report 2020,” published by Humanists International revealed mounting evidence that humanist and atheist activists are being targeted on the basis of their rejection of a majority religion or their promotion of human rights, democratic values and critical thinking. The report is largely based on testimony from 76 people in the eight countries surveyed. A range of persecutory tactics are used, including the criminalisation of blasphemy and apostasy, impunity for assaults, as well as social isolation and discrimination.

England only abolished the blasphemy law in 2008, but it was not applied much anyway. I know it carried heavy penalties in some countries. Not believing in a religion should not be a crime and neither should criticising religion. Of course we know religion is used as a form of control in those countries.
I think personal way of life should not be linked with religious believes. Religion and self believs should be of will and not force. Legal law should be used for control of immorality and crimes in this age.

@arminnavabi doesn't agree with every single thing posted on @atheistrepublic's social media accounts, since @atheistrepublic is a community of atheists representing a wide range of atheists.
Having said that, it doesn't mean that he necessarily disagrees either, and if you follow his recent posts, he has taken some controversial stances in opposition to what he calls the "Woke Cult".
By the way. I wanted to buy some of AR t-shirts but they are all made of cotton.
Why not using some quality synthetic fabric like used for sports' t-shirts?
Synthetic are the best. Quick drying and "breahable".
Cotton is the worst fabric that can be used for clothing. "Breathes" poorly and traps sweat and/or water making it difficult to dry. It's awful to wear during hot weather or when doing sports/workout.
Unfortuntanately, it is ridiculously cheap so almost every "designed t-shirt" seller uses it :-S
If you had some synthetic fabric as alternative, I would buy loads of them.

Well,at least in Venezuela, with this pro-communist government, which ideologically is opposed to mainstream religions, we do not face major legal issues for stating atheist ideas. It is more likely that ones gets "lynched" on Twitter or other social media for questioning catholic beliefs or just people's blind reliance on their faith as the solution to our problems.
I just avoid the unnecesary conflict.
Some weeks ago we got this famous doctor, Jose Gregorio Hernandez, beatified by the Vatican. People celebrated the event as if that meant that our horrendous crisis had gotten to an end and they went bananas against anyone who dared to mock or question their devotion. I just smile at the futility of so much energy and time wasted.
