Well, I hope they get the highest penalty. Parents all over the world must learn once and for all that they cannot trust their children to ANY religious leader.

I agree with you that they make their own religious look really bad. They do not need bad press for that.
I hope they dod not get, as you said, the level of sophisticationand impunity of the Catholics.
Sadly, judging by what we see on social media, the world will continue believing; therefore, not much will change. Even when horrible things are discovered people go back to their primal fears and faith in an all-powerful god and expect that that god will deliver justice. In the mean time the bad guys and rubbing their hands in delight
