I've become a fan of beets. I love everything about them: their color and flavor. I use them often in my morning smoothies and salads, but today I've put them to a very special use, taking advantage of a recipe I saw on an Instagram channel.

Me he vuelto una fan de la Remolacha, me encanta todo de ella, su color, sabor, la uso muy seguido para mis batidos de la mañana y para las ensaladas, pero el día de hoy le he dado un uso muy especial, aprovechando una receta que vi por un canal de Instagram.
This is a very special hummus. Of course, this hummus contains chickpeas, but with an additional flavor and a vibrant, beautiful color, which we'll give it with the beets 😍
It's such an easy recipe to make. You just need to have the ingredients on hand, which by the way are few, and a few minutes of your busy schedule.

- Se trata de un Hummus muy especial, por supuesto este Hummus lleva Garbanzos, pero con un sabor adicional y con un color vibrante y hermoso que se lo daremos con la Remolacha 😍
Es una receta tan fácil de hacer solo tienes que tener los ingredientes a mano que por cierto son pocos y unos cuantos minutos de tu agitada agenda.

Ingredients:
-200 grams of cooked chickpeas.
-180 grams of cooked beets.
-2 garlic cloves.
-2 tablespoons of tahini (sesame paste)
-1 tablespoon of extra-virgin olive oil.
-1/2 teaspoon of ground cumin.
-The juice of one lemon, or to taste.
-1 1/2 teaspoons of salt, or to taste.
Ingredientes:
- 200 Gramos de Garbanzos cocidos.
- 180 Gramos de Remolacha cocida.
- 2 Dientes de Ajo.
- 2 Cucharadas de Tahini(pasta de Ajonjolí)
- 1 Cucharada de Aceite de Oliva extra virgen.
- 1/2 Cucharadita de comino molido.
- El Zumo de un Limón o al gusto.
- 1 1/2 Cucharadita de Sal o al gusto.*
Let's get to the preparation:
Here, all you have to do is put all the ingredients in the food processor or blender and blend very well.
We start by putting the chickpeas in the food processor and adding the beetroot. I cooked the latter over low heat and steamed it. According to some experts, cooking it this way preserves more of its nutrients. I removed the skin.
Vamos con la preparación:
Acá lo que tienes que hacer es echar todos los ingredientes en el procesador o licuadora y triturar muy bien 👍
Comenzamos echando los Garbanzos en el Procesador y agregamos la Remolacha, esta última la he cocido a fuego bajo y al vapor, según algunos expertos, si la cocinamos así se conservan más sus nutrientes, yo le he quitado la concha.
Now we are going to add the Tahini, I have put two very generous tablespoons.
- Ahora vamos a añadir el Tahini, le he puesto dos cucharadas bien generosas.
We add the Extra-Virgin Olive Oil, for this type of recipes it is always preferable to use this Oil.
- Agregamos el Aceite de Oliva Extra-Virgen, para este tipo de recetas siempre es preferible usar este Aceite.
We are also going to add the Lemon and the Garlic.
- Vamos a agregar también el Limón y los Ajos.
Cumin and Salt.
- El Comino y la Sal.
We process until everything is very well integrated.
- Procesamos hasta que todo quede muy bien integrado.
Done, now just serve! and decorate to make it look cute 😍.
- ¡Listo, ahora solo sirve! y decora para que se vea lindo 😍.
This hummus is ideal with crackers or toast, and it's great spread on your vegetables 👌

High nutrition value in this recipe, if only most people in developed countries ate food like this, they certainly had not the big obesity pandemia clogging the health system and shorten many lives altogether.
