Hello, food lovers and friends! I recently harvested a lot of onions from a farmer friend. After getting them, we cleaned them and put them in the sun to dry a bit, as we wanted to save them for winter or a long time. They looked very photogenic, so I am making my entry to the #qurator community for a photo quest and wrote about the medicinal value of onions in Ayurvedic medicine. You can find the link in the #naturalmedicinecommunity. However, when I saw and felt the freshness of the onions, I couldn't resist making some Indian street food - onion pakoras. They are a very easy and delicious snack that makes you salivate. You can eat tons of them without stopping. The recipe is very simple and requires just a few ingredients.
Ingredients:
2 onions
1 tsp salt
1 tsp bishop weed seeds
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp chili powder
2 tbsp chopped coriander.
2/3 cup of oil for deep fry.
1 cup of gram flour
Chop the onions into thin slices.
Mix sliced onion, coriander, turmeric chili powder, salt, and bishop weed seeds, in the bowl.
Mix all ingredients a little hard using your hand so the onion layers will separate.
Then gradually add flour 1 tbsp at a time and mix it like a dough without using water.
It will very sticky mixture.
Heat oil in the frying pan on medium heat.
when the oil gets enough hot, start putting the onion mixture lumps in the hot oil.
Fry them thoroughly until get crispy and brown-colored.
And here you can enjoy them non-stop.
Thank you for stopping by.
