"Tumis Kangkung" (sauteed kale or water spinach)

How are you vegan friends? Today I want to share with all of you a recipe for stir-fried vegetables which is a mainstay menu for Indonesians sauteed kale or water spinach.
Do you have kale in your area? Maybe some of your friends have never cooked or tasted this kale or water spinach.

This water spinach is very delicious, its texture becomes soft very easily so we shouldn't cook it for too long and when consuming this water spinach you have to finish it immediately because it is like spinach which should not be heated. Kale is sold a lot in Indonesia. Apart from its cheap price, it also tastes delicious and is even sold at high prices in several restaurants. Water spinach can also be cooked into various kinds of dishes, the easiest of which is stir-fried as I will share with vegan friends here, apart from that it can be used as a mixture of vegetable pecel, Manado porridge and many more. Next time I will share other water spinach recipes with friends vegan friends here.
Usually we cook kale by adding shrimp paste or using oyster sauce, but because I will share with vegan friends, I don't use additional shrimp paste or oyster sauce. Don't worry because even with simple ingredients, it still has a delicious distinctive taste.
Immediately, we will prepare the ingredients. I only cook for one meal and you can adjust the spice measurements according to your preferences.


Material :


1/2 bunch kale or water spinach
2 pieces of garlic
1 red onion
1 tsp Salt
1 tsp mushroom stock
1/2 tsp ground pepper
1/2 tsp granulated sugar


How to make :


Prepare the kale then cut it into smaller pieces then wash it clean.


Chop all the chilies and onions


Heat cooking oil, sauté all the onions and chilies until fragrant


Add water spinach and add seasoning.


Cook until the kale is wilted, don't forget to check the taste, if it's suitable, you can turn off the heat and Stir-fried kale is ready to be served.
