I tried to make a starter years ago but it didn't seem to rise properly, maybe because it was in my kitchen during winter and kind of cold I don't know. I'd love to try again, for now I use a simple basic bread recipe that rises and bakes in a few hours.

That makes sense, in the winter we are usually around 18 to 20C! Even in summer most days it doesn't get to 25 inside , I would need a little warm cupboard or something
If you can keep it in the oven with the Liz on and it works
