Something else which you could try which is dope.. is to let the boiled potatoes cool a bit. Then take a fork and just "scratch" each one. Then fry on the stove top in deep frying pan with some oil, turning carefully until perfect. Will do a really cool crispy edge and looks pretty cool too.. think you may like those ones as well ;)

I think they probably are not in SA.
That sounds like a good variation to try, I am a big fan of Bratwurst and it sounds similar.
