It's well known, and according to the cultures of each country on planet Earth, snacking is part of a tradition; that moment some call tea time, just as we on this side of the world call it coffee time.
That moment after three in the afternoon, at home, away from home, or at the office, sniffing the scent of the precious liquid captivates those who are there at the right time and place. That moment is deliciously accompanied by cookies or another type of sweet treat to make the moment a time of shared memories.
This is where a delicious snack comes in with few ingredients, easy to prepare, and using ingredients we usually have at home. It's a matter of creating, tasting, combining... adding flavor, texture, even color to a moment of creativity in preparation.
I called it the perfect treat. It's delicious.


Para esta preparación se utilizó:
1 1/2 taza de harina de trigo
1 taza de azúcar morena
1 taza de leche de avena
1 1/2 de zanahoria rallada
½ taza de aceite vegetal
1 cucharadita de bicarbonato
¼ de cucharadita de sal
1 cucharadita de canela en polvo
1 cucharada de jugo de limón
1 cucharada de ajonjolí (opcional)
For this recipe, we used:
1 1/2 cup of wheat flour
1 cup of brown sugar
1 cup of oat milk
1 1/2 cups of grated carrots
1/2 cup of vegetable oil
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
1 tablespoon of sesame seeds (optional)



In a bowl of your choice, combine the dry ingredients:
flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt.



Add the ground cinnamon to the grated carrot and let it sit for a minute or two so the carrot absorbs the aroma and flavor of the cinnamon.
After this time, add it to the dry ingredients.





Now, add the wet ingredients: oil, lemon juice, vanilla, and oat milk.



Once the mixture is ready, pour it into a container 16 centimeters in diameter and bake for 20 to 30 minutes. The time will depend on the type of oven you have.


After the appropriate number of minutes has passed, test with a wooden skewer. If it comes out clean, remove the cake from the oven. You can add the sesame seeds when you remove the cake from the oven (or before adding the mixture to the oven) (in this case, they were added immediately after removing it from the oven).


And this is the result of the perfect treat.



It truly is a delight.

Very healthy option, if only most people in developed countries (NorthAmerica, Europe and Australia) had these home-made and healthy food, they wouldn't have the pandemic obesity ,which is clogging the health system and causing big financial pressures.
