Little millet khichdi recipe || Good food good mood || 47

Hello foodies!

Welcome to my blog again. I am so glad that you are here. Today i would like to share one more healthy, yummy and quick recipe which is also suitable for fasting named little millet khichdi/upma recipe.

🌴🌴🌴🌴🌴

Little millet also known as bhagar ( shamak) is a food which is rich in fiber, antioxidants and minerals. Also Suitable for weight loss. We can make upma or khichdi with this little millet by adding vegetables and nuts to our choice.

It is a quick, easy, tasty and healthy recipe . Which we can enjoy as a dinner and also during fasting. This time i made it as a vegan so i add oil, otherwise you can use ghee if you are preparing for fasting. Rest recipe is same. You can make it in the pan or pressure cooker.

INGREDIENTS ✅

  • Little millet 1 bowl
  • Potato 1 chopped
  • Tomato 1 chopped
  • Green chilli 2 chopped
  • Peanuts
  • Oil 1 tbsp
  • Rock salt to taste
  • Black papper 1 tsp
  • Water 4 bowl
  • Coriander leaves

METHOD ✅

Step 1 :

First Take all ingredients. Wash the millet and drain the access water.

Little millet looks like this 👇

In a big bowl Wash it properly.

Step 2 :

Now chopped all the viggies. If you are preparing khichdi in pressure cooker Don't chopped to small, otherwise veggies become completely massy.

I chooped like this 👇

Step 3 :

Take cooker , put oil and heat it. After that add peanuts and roast it well.

Now keep aside rosted peanuts in a plate or bowl.

Step 4 :

Now add chopped veggies one by one. You can add more veggies to your choice.

Add salt and black pepper.

Saute the veggies for 30 seconds, add washed Little millet and mix well.

Now add 4 bowl water in it. put 4 times more water than the millet .

Step 5 :

Close the lid and cook till 2 whistle on the medium flame.

After it turn off the flame and open the lid after 10 minutes.

Your millet khichdi is ready to serve.

Now add roasted peanuts.

Garnish it with coriander leaves and enjoy 😋😃.

This is a light food which is best for dinner. So enjoy it with your loved ones and boost your mood with good and healthy food 😌

Pro tip 😉

Always prepare food in a good mood, which improves both the taste of the food and the mood of the person eating it ✨☮️ .

I hope you like this healthy recipe and will try soon. If you have any queries let me know in the comment section 🤍 .

I am very excited to find your recipe including millet. I bought a bag for the first time in my life. Here in Canada it is not common to eat millet but sometimes it is in bread or cereal. Most people here know it as something in bird seed mix.

I have been wondering what to do with it and your recipe has ingredients that I like.

Thank you for the recipe and the inspiration.

It is really good and light for health....I am very happy to know that you found my post valuable.
Thank you so much 🙏
