Easy Ways to Make Favorite Snacks Corn Risol's

Risol corn is a snack that is fried filled with sweet corn and other vegetables that many Indonesians like the most.




Risol snacks are one of the snacks that are classified as having a long manufacturing process, and are also very popular in our area. These snacks are very easy to find in traditional and modern markets. Usually the contents of these snacks are various types of vegetables and meat, cheese, eggs and even noodles, which is certainly very rare to find vegan variants of risol. In this modern era, many of these snacks are sold frozen at online stores. All you have to do is buy the ones that get fried at home, indeed this is very practical. However, I often don't like the flavors that are sold in the market and besides, I have never found a risol with a vegan variant before. Therefore making it at home is the only way to anticipate inappropriate tastes and non-vegan food.

I'm not a vegetarian, but lately I've been avoiding eggs a lot, because of the boils that keep growing on my face. Well, even though it's getting better, the doctor advised me to stay away from dishes that smell like egg or chicken boilers for a while. Well I think the vegan variant dishes to be healthy dishes and also anti from animal products. If I had previously made risol with spring roll skin, the skin that I bought made at the store was thin. But this time I want to make it different with a touch of fanir flour on the outside, of course it will give a crunchy taste on the outside. I will process corn risol which is very rare for you to find anywhere, with the outer skin that I prepared myself. Certainly, giving a different impression on this one fried snack.

* How to Make Stuffing Risol

In making risol that is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, you have to prepare a filling that suits your tongue. I chose corn, because this is one of my favorites, processed into anything still makes me tempted. Now, for a good filling, you also have to pay attention to the ingredients and good seasonings, here are the ingredients you need.

Stuffing ingredients

1 piece of corn
3 green beans
1 carrot
1 tomato
3 shallots
4 cloves garlic
¼ teaspoon cumin
2 candlenuts
5 bird's eye chilies


Instructions:

STEP 1First, prepare the filling for the risol by washing and cutting all the stuffed vegetables into small pieces.

STEP 2Then blend the onions, candlenuts, chilies and cumin in a blender, then sauté the spices until fragrant in a little cooking oil.

STEP 3Then add a little water and give the tomato pieces, then sauté the spices again until cooked. And then add a teaspoon of salt.

STEP 4Then add all the vegetables and wait until the water is reduced and the vegetables are cooked.

STEP 5Wait until the stuffing is cold and can only be used or in the wrap with risol skin.

* How to Make Risol Skin

Making risol without skin isn't perfect, isn't it? Moreover, the skin that is sold there, in my opinion, is very different from the one made by yourself.

leather material:

200 grams of wheat flour
500 ml of water
pinch of salt
Fanir flour


Instructions:

STEP 1
Prepare the flour then add a teaspoon of salt and stir until evenly distributed.

STEP 2
Then add little by little water and stir until all the flour dissolves in the water.

STEP 3
While stirring, sieve the mixture so that there are no lumps, then if the dough is soft there is no longer a lump in the dough ready to be cooked.

STEP 4
Cook the dough, in a Teflon pan, put a little spread of oil or margarine then pour a spoonful of the dough. And cook until the skin is cooked, the skin is ready to use.

The next stage in making risol is to apply the filling in the risol skin. However, there are several steps that must be considered, you must wrap it properly and also try not to tear the skin so that the filling does not come out when fried.

STEP 1
Prepare 1 sheet of skin, add it with a tablespoon of stuffing, or you can use it according to your taste, the point is that it must be packaged as well as possible.

STEP 2
Then, wrap it by folding the right and left sides and then folding the back to the front so that it forms like a roll.

STEP 3
After it's perfectly shaped it's time for us to coat it with fanir flour, first I take the rest of the flour mixture to make the skin, then roll the wrapped risol in the wet dough.

STEP 4
Then roll in the fanir flour, make sure all the fanir is evenly distributed over the entire surface of the risol.

STEP 5
The final stage after everything is covered with risol fried fanir flour in hot oil, fry until the surface is crisp and brownish yellow. And don't forget to drain it so it's not too greasy.

Now, this is corn risol with fanir flour coating, which is definitely crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It is very suitable as a snack for your family at home because it is made from vegetable fillings that are appetizing. Besides that, if you don't like greasy food, you can cook using the airfryer or oven, the taste will also be crispy and certainly not inferior to fried ones.

I usually store this risol in the freezer, after coating it with fanir flour on the outside. And usually when I want to enjoy it, I just fry it. It lasts a long time, and if you store it in the freezer it can last up to a month. I don't think the taste has changed at all. Still fresh and the outside is also still crispy. Now the tips are if you want to fry it, let it cool first so it doesn't get too frozen because it will affect the texture.
