Wishing all my dear friends a very beautiful and blessed day!
Cream Cracker Biscuit Aggala is a delightful modern twist on a traditional Sri Lankan sweet. Instead of using only cooked rice or coconut like in the classic version, this variation combines the familiar flavor of cream crackers with hakuru (palm treacle) or sugar syrup to create a quick and delicious treat.
It’s a simple recipe that requires just a few ingredients, making it perfect for tea time or for sharing with your loved ones. This sweet not only satisfies your cravings but also adds a creative touch to the timeless charm of homemade Sri Lankan goodies.
Let’s take a look at how we can prepare it!

Materials Used.
About 10-12 cream cracker biscuits.
Finely chopped jaggery.
1/2 Cup of Grated coconut.
Crushed peanuts 50g.
A pinch of salt.
Some waters.

The cooking process as follows.
Now let’s get ready to prepare this. First, using a wooden mortar and pestle (wangediya), crush the cream crackers into fine pieces.
Next, place the crushed biscuit powder into a bowl and add scraped coconut, jaggery, a pinch of salt, cashew nuts, and a little water. Mix everything well together.
Now we shape the mixture into small balls.
Once the mixture is shaped into soft, sweet balls, each one carries the perfect balance of crispness, sweetness, and aroma. Simple yet satisfying, these cream-cracker aggala are an excellent choice when you need a quick snack or want to prepare something special without much effort. They are a lovely reminder that even everyday ingredients can create delightful memories.
So, let’s enjoy them with a warm cup of tea or coffee.
I’ll see you again soon — until another day! 🌼✨
