Wishing a very beautiful and blessed day to all my dear friends.
Beetroot curry is one of those vibrant, healthy dishes that brings both color and nutrition to your plate. With its naturally sweet and earthy flavor, beetroot blends beautifully with Sri Lankan spices and creamy coconut milk to create a comforting and wholesome curry. This dish is not only visually appealing but also rich in iron, fiber, and antioxidants—making it a great choice for both everyday meals and special occasions. Let’s take a look at how to prepare it step by step.
Materials Used.
Beetroot 250g.
Coconut milk 150ml.
2 Tablespoon of Coconut oil.
A finely chopped onion.
3 green chilies, chopped
Curry leaves.
4 cloves of garlic, finely chopped.
1 Teaspoon of chili powder.
1/2 Teaspoon of turmeric powder.
1 Teaspoon of curry powder.
Salt as needed.
1/3 Teaspoon of Fenugreek seed.
1/2 Teaspoon of Mustard Seeds.
The cooking process as follows.
First, take the beetroot bulbs, peel off the outer skin, wash them thoroughly, and cut them into long slices.
Next, add the sliced beetroot into a pot. Then add chili powder, turmeric powder, curry powder, salt, pandan leaves, curry leaves, green chilies, and chopped garlic. Mix everything well together.
Now take a cooking pan and add two tablespoons of coconut oil. Once the oil is heated, add fenugreek seeds and mustard seeds. Then add the previously mixed beetroot pieces into the pan and cook for about 3 minutes.
Now add a 150ml coconut milk to it and cook for about 4 to 5 minutes. Then remove it from the stove.
Once gently and thoroughly cooked, and infused with all the aromatic flavors, this beetroot curry becomes a true celebration of color and taste.
Serve it warm with rice or roti, and enjoy the perfect balance of health and flavor in every spoonful. Try it once—it might just become a regular favorite on your dining table.
That's all from me for today. Wishing you a wonderful day!

Hi @edeyglezsosa
We see that you frequently repost content from this community on Reddit. Now, our question is, do you have the users' permission to repost this content?
According to the rules for the Vegan Recipes page on Reddit, one of the rules is that you must have the recipe author's permission to share it.
I think @pranwala @anggreklestari @hindavi @nurfay @ryanaa and others, would be interested in taking a look at this comment, as well as the rules for Vegan Recipes on Reddit.
This also extends to sharing recipes from Foodies Bee Hive and Amazing Drinks users. The content belongs to them, and it's only fair that if you monetize their content, they authorize you to do so and even receive a portion of that monetization as well.
Ideally, you should talk to each hiver before using their content on other social networks.
Hello and good morning.
It's true that I never directly asked for permission to share their posts, but many of them have thanked me in the comments. I'm sure if any of them were bothered by me sharing their recipes, they would have let me know.
The other thing I'd like to clarify is that they get 20% of the rewards I earned by sharing their links on Reddit. In any case, I'd love to know if any of them disagree and want to stop doing so.
Although it strikes me that you mention me, considering there are many users who were already doing so.
Blessings.
Good morning
Some users have told me they're uncomfortable with the situation, which is why I'm posting this comment today. In any case, their express permission (not implicit or tacit) would be the most appropriate, especially considering it's one of the requirements of the Vegan Recipes page.
Let's wait and see what users think.
My responsibility as head of some food communities on Hive is to ensure their proper functioning and address user concerns.
And I've mentioned you because you're one of the most active hivers sharing content on Reddit.
On the other hand, it's great that the authors receive part of the monetization you generate.
Happy Sunday!
Okay. So let's do the following.
In this comment, I am officially asking @pranwala, @anggreklestari, @nurfay and @ryanaa for permission to share their recipes on Reddit in order to increase the visibility of the Hive ecosystem on WEB 2.0 and, in doing so, allow them to earn additional rewards.
I look forward to your response, although I will also ask for your permission personally in each of your posts.
Additionally, I would also like to mention @acidyo so that he can stop by and give his opinion on what happened, considering that he is the creator and promoter of the @redditposh project.
You forgot to include @hindavi
I haven't forgotten her.
@hindavi has her own Reddit account and shares her own content on the same subreddit as me. I don't remember sharing any of her posts, and if I did, it was a long time ago, because once I realized she was doing it, I made sure not to do it myself.
Hi @sirenahippie, thanks for bringing this up. I've been noticing for a long time that I'm working hard for my posts here (you know my posts were good, but it was not always rewarded highly). while someone else seems to be benefiting from my efforts. I discovered this issue and initially tried to ignore it, but it didn't stop. So I decided to open my account to avoid complications and a negative situation. And stop the matter.
sharing only my posts.
There was only one instance where I asked @koto-art for permission to use a recipe from his post in @foodiesbeehive in a comment, and I waited for his response before proceeding. because I didn't want to benefit from somebody's work.
Hive is open and the content being posted here is for anyone to see. There's no paywalls, for instance, so you're not taking anything away from the author by sharing their content on other platforms.
As was stated here in the comments as well, yes, authors also receive part of the potential redditposh awards as a courtesy but it's not really something that "must" exist from our perspective. You're bringing value to the author and ecosystem by sharing their content on other platforms, one could say content that doesn't attract any traffic from within or outside should get even less rewards on Hive in general because it brings little to no benefit to the ecosystem and stakeholders.
It's not like people are sharing secrets/private info on chain that should not be seen by others.
Either way, that's kind of our philosophy on it from what we can control.
If communities olr subreddits make it a requirement to ask permission however, that's another thing and it's up to them to enforce that rule and for sharers to then obey it, so it's not really dependant on us any longer. Communities may mute the @redditposh bot at their own volition similar like subreddits may mute the author or domain.
Hi @acidyo
My intention isn't to detract from the efforts that whales and projects like yours are making to give Hive more exposure, since the idea is for the platform to grow internally and externally, so silencing the @reddiposh bot has never been an option.
Now, what I'm proposing here is that anyone who shares third-party content on other social networks must have the approval of the content's author. I believe it's a way to make the entire process more coherent and transparent, and even to avoid situations like the one that occurred today.
The user @edeyglezsosa is very active on Reddit, and that's great, because, as you say, it highlights Hive and its authors. However, the only thing I'm proposing is that he must have the author's approval to share the content. I also don't think it's necessary for him to request the author's permission for each post; instead, he should speak to the person privately and raise the issue.
So, as far as Hive is concerned, I'm not doing anything wrong? If I get permission from the author, there shouldn't be any problem and I could continue sharing the content on Reddit?
I have replied to you with the community account, but this comment is mine.
Hi @sirenahippie your comment helped me a lot, lately I've been bothered by reditposhs done by others on my posts, especially in the vegan community. At first I didn't know the rewards given with redditposh. After learning about it this week, I feel that the rewards from redditposh given to me as a writer are unfair as the content writer, only gets a little while the person doing the redditposh gets more rewards.
During this redditposh activity, there is no communication whatsoever from the person doing the redditposh.
Hi @nurfay
Hi @nurfay. I understand you feel uncomfortable with the situation, although I think the explanation @acidyo gave you in response to your comment makes everything clear.
Now, it's up to you whether or not to allow your content to be shared on other social networks.
It's not easy to share content correctly on web2, twitter/x for instance had very little effect on bringing traffic to hive and your posts.
I feel like you may be looking at it the wrong way. These rewards generated by redditposh aren't being taken away from you, you're only getting a bit extra from them because someone who's learned reddit and found appropriate subreddits to bring your content in front of more readers and potential new followers. If redditposh didn't exist your content wouldn't get shared at all and the sharers wouldn't get any rewards either, but this doesn't mean that you would get more rewards however as those curators/stakeholders may not want to overreward certain posts/authors because they're looking at distributing hive fair and wide.
Before redditposh ocd/ocdb would for instance vote on @hbd.funder comments with any voting power we had too much of due to the lack of new authors.
Redditposh may seem like it's giving sharers too much rewards but attempting to direct traffic to niche/small websites like peakd in a marketing approach are way more expensive through other more professional means.
Your approach is very good, as it helps Hive users understand the reasons for sharing content on other social networks, such as Reddit.
In any case, the purpose of this call to action is to ensure everything works properly. The rules, both inside and outside of Hive, contribute to smooth and optimal operation.
Even with the freedom that decentralization offers, it is always necessary to have certain parameters that allow all members of the ecosystem to live harmoniously.
Thanks, yea hope it was made clear. No ill intentions meant from any side I suppose.
Thank you for the explanation @sirenahippie and @acidyo I also hope so, there is no malicious intent from any party. Greetings
Everything has become very clear, and I think it was a good thing this happened because it clears up any doubts. I also think there was no ill intentions on anyone's part. Thanks!
My sincere apologies for everything that happened. I didn't know you felt that way about my actions. I assure you that from now on I will not share your posts.
I love your beetroot curry! I always use beetroot (as juice) when I feel I need more energy, for example before doing sports!
Thank you! 😊 That’s such a great idea—beetroot is a real energy booster! 💪💜 Glad you enjoyed the curry too!
Tendría que hacerla y probarla, sin dudar la voy a realizar y te cuento que tal jeje saludos
Thanks you so much for your support @qurator and @ewkaw
CONGRATULATIONS! Super healthy ingredients and food (only for those that know what really good stuff is). If only most people in the world would eat real deal food like this, the obesity pandemic status in first world countries will be under control. Unfortunately this is not the case at this time.
Thank you so much! 🙏 You're absolutely right—real, wholesome food makes a world of difference. If more people embraced simple, nourishing meals, we’d see a big shift in global health. Let’s keep spreading the good stuff!💚
I love beetroot juice but this recipe is so amazing. I would like to give it a try.
Thank you! 😊 If you love beetroot juice, you’ll definitely enjoy this recipe—it’s full of flavor and just as energizing.
You've been curated by @plantpoweronhive! Delegations welcome!
Thanks you so much support @plantpoweronhive.💕
I just had lunch, but now I’m hungry again! The colors, the ingredients, and that final look of the curry, so homey and inviting. I swear, beetroot is so underrated!
I totally get that! 😄 Beetroot really is underrated—so vibrant, flavorful, and nourishing. I'm so glad the dish made you feel that way. Homey food always wins! 💜
Wow, I thought it was a super hot chili, but it turns out I was a little fooled. 😆
Haha, yes! 😄 Sometimes those colors can be tricky—looks fiery but it’s actually mild and flavorful. A fun surprise! 🌶️😉
I love this
Wow this is new and welcoming to me. I didn't know beetroot can be prepared or enjoyed like this cause what i normally do with mine is to juice and most times add to hibiscus drink. Will give this a try. Thank you
My only issue with beet root is that it looks like raw meat sometimes hahah :) but I love it, and certainly it has helped with my iron deficiency, now I blend it in my smoothies all the time, sounds delicious, someo f the spices like the seeds are complicated, but I may adapt your recipe to what it's possible.
