Today, I prepared a delicious recipe for evening tea. Among the many delightful treats, Jaggery-Mixed Sago Balls stand out as a flavorful and nutritious snack. The rich, caramel-like sweetness of jaggery combined with the soft, chewy texture of sago creates a delightful balance of taste and texture. This simple yet flavorful homemade treat is perfect for any time of the day. Jaggery, a natural sweetener, is well known for its health benefits, including aiding digestion, boosting energy, and providing essential minerals like iron and calcium. On the other hand, sago is gentle on the stomach and an excellent source of carbohydrates, making these sago balls both satisfying and nutritious. With just a few ingredients and easy steps, you can prepare these delicious sago balls at home and enjoy their natural goodness. Let’s take a step-by-step look at how to make them!

Materials Used.

150g finely ground jaggery.
3/4 Cup of water.
grated coconut 80g.
Sago 50g.
Salt to taste.
Rice flour 150g.
1 Teaspoon of yeast.
1/2 teaspoon of Cumin.

The cooking process as follows.

Now, Let's Prepare It!. First, take a pan and place it on the stove. Then, add the grated jaggery into the pan. Once it starts to melt and turns golden brown, caramelize it properly.

Now, transfer the caramelized jaggery into a bowl. Then, add rice flour, grated coconut, sugar, yeast, cardamom, sago, and a pinch of salt. Mix everything well until combined.

Now, check whether the mixture has reached the desired consistency. If needed, adjust the texture by adding a little more flour or coconut to achieve the right thickness.

Now, take a few cups and line them with banana leaves or pandan leaves, shaping them into a round form. Then, pour the prepared mixture into these lined cups, ensuring an even distribution.

Next, take a steamer and bring the water to a boil. Once the water is boiling, place the prepared mixture in the steamer and let it steam for about 30 minutes. After steaming, check if it is properly set, then remove it from the heat.
