Fried yam with caramel sauce

Sweet potatoes are very popular in Indonesia, which are loved by many people, which can be used as a variety of dry or wet snacks, grilled or steamed, it happened that today there was a sweet potato at home and I thought of frying sweet potatoes by adding wheat flour, then dissolved in caramel sauce.

It looks normal, but who would have thought, sweet potato fried with sugar water really made me addicted to eating it, and I really want to make it myself at home, first I ate this snack from my neighbor, he always fried sweet potato and then cooked it again with sugar water until the sugar water is dry, but here I don't like sugar water that is too dry,

I deliberately did not dry the sugar water so that the taste of the sugar water could be felt,
Because I really like sweets when I eat this snack,

Caramel sauce fried sweet potatoes

Just look at it, from its appearance alone, it really whets the appetite of anyone who sees it, in addition to being sweet and crispy, this snack is very suitable for people who love sweet snacks, like me, instead of having sweet potatoes at home and frying them normally, I prefer to use this as a snack.

Here are the step by step steps to make a snack from fried yams sprinkled with caramel sauce.


Materials used

1 sweet potato
3 tbsp granulated sugar
3 tablespoons of flour
1/2 tsp salt


Manufacturing procedure


First


Peel all the skins of the sweet potato, then cut the sweet potato according to your taste, then wash it until the sweet potato is completely clean

Second


Sprinkle half a teaspoon of salt, then mix the sweet potato with flour and fry until fully cooked.

Third


then we cook the caramel sauce, add a little water and add granulated sugar, and cook until the sugar dissolves until the water boils, then add the sweet potatoes, then cook until the sugar water dries up or sticks to the sweet potatoes

Actually, the original recipe is cooked until the sugar water is completely dry, but look at that I purposely did not cook the sugar water until dry, because I like the texture of the sweet potato that is still wet like this, sprinkled with sugar water, it tastes very sweet and savory, a combination of sweet potato fried in flour with sweet sugar, a very perfect taste in my opinion.
