Today, the weather is very unfriendly. The weather in my area is 32°C, it's very hot, isn't it?. but in the afternoon the weather will turn cloudy and rain. For me personally on hot days like this, it is enough to make me thirsty and always feel hot. In the fasting month yesterday, the weather was like this, I want the hot afternoon weather and the scorching sun to be replaced with the afternoon weather which is always cloudy and cool. I just had to think about going out of the house because of the erratic heat. Sometimes it can also be cloudy suddenly and hot rain occurs.
While relaxing like this I miss the days of the fasting month. Because when the fasting month like that is the month I like the most. Why is it like that ? because of the fasting month my mother always cooks with various kinds of dishes. There are sweet dishes, there are also savory dishes such as stew and stir-fry, and there are also fried foods. Don't forget to drink fresh. Like earlier, I said that the fasting month is the month I like the most because in that month I can learn a lot about my mother's cooking knowledge. I can help my mother cook food for iftar. Now I will try my mother's cooking knowledge during the fasting month yesterday, namely I will cook Sweet potato kolak. When fasting yesterday, my mother always told me to process the dish myself with the ingredients and recipes she gave. Let's work together to make processed Sweet potato in the style of my mother and I.
ingredients:
•provide 1 Kg of sweet potato (which has been separated from the skin and cut into pieces)
• 700 ml coconut milk
• 150 grams of sugar
• 75 grams of brown sugar
• 150 ml of water
• 2 pandan leaves
how to make :
• Prepare Sweet potato, peel and cut them according to taste
• Then also slice the brown sugar so that it is easily crushed
• After that, prepare the pot and place it on the stove
• then Enter the Sweet potato
• then add water
• also add sugar and brown sugar
• and don't forget to add pandan leaves
• then cover the pot and turn on the stove over medium heat
• When it's about 6 or 7 minutes open the lid of the pot and stir gently and let stand for another 4 or 5 minutes over medium heat
• When it's been 5 minutes and the Sweet potato is a little soft and the sugar has also been crushed, add the coconut milk and stir slowly
•Wait until the sweet potato kolak is bubbling and don't forget to stir slowly.
• After 10 minutes and the sweet potato kolak is bubbling and the sweet potato is soft enough, turn off the stove and let it rest for a while
• After that, transfer the sweet potato kolak into the container and the homemade recipe sweet potato kolak is ready to hide.
That's how friends I process sweet potato into delicious preparations. I use sweet potato that are yellow or orange and quite have many benefits such as: it contains antioxidants to fight some cancers, improves gut health, boosts the immune system and improves brain function. Sweet potato is also included in the diet menu category because of the several benefits it has. Therefore, you can consume sweet potatoes boiled, roasted in compote or made as other snacks. it's true even though it's not the fasting month of Kolak there must be. because it's so delicious 🤤
