Therefore, as a housewife, I wanted to try a tasty recipe and dish that can be stored for a while today to get some relief in my cooking activities. Therefore, I had a banana flower with me. I made a banana flower moju ( keselmuwa moju)from this. It is really delicious. It can be stored and eaten. It is a dish that we can store for a month. So let's see how to make it.
Ingredients;
- A medium sized banana flower
- About seven or eight green chilies
- About three medium-sized large onions
- About three cloves of garlic
- A few curry leaves
- About two cloves of cardamom
- A piece of cinnamon
- A piece of pandan leaf
- 200ml of oil
- A full teaspoon of mustard seeds
- Two teaspoons of chilli powder
- Half teaspoon of chilli pieces
- A teaspoon of pepper powder
- A full teaspoon of salt powder
- 1/4 teaspoon of turmeric powder
- A piece of ginger
- Five tablespoons of vinegar
- Two teaspoons of sugar
The method of making;
First, to make the mustard paste, soak the mustard seeds in two tablespoons of vinegar for just fifteen minutes.
Meanwhile, we will cut the banana flower into very thin pieces.
While cutting, put it in a bowl of water. This will remove the bitterness.
Then squeeze out the water.
Now, let's cut the well-washed and cleaned large onions into fairly large pieces. Let's cut them so that they don't become green chilies.
Crush garlic with ginger.
We will now grind the mustard seeds that have been soaked in vinegar into a mustard paste.
Fry the chopped banana pieces until crunchy. Like until golden.
Fry the onion slices in the same heated oil for about a minute on low heat.
Then remove from the stove and fry green chillies within a minute.
Since we are using vinegar to make this dish, you must use a clay pot to prepare this dish. So, heat a clay pot and add two tablespoons of hot oil to it. And add cardamom, pandan leaf, curry leaves with cinnamon to pot.
Then add chopped garlic mixture.
From low heat, add turmeric, pepper, chilli with salt powder.
Again, keep the heat on the stove at a normal level, add the mustard paste and the remaining three tablespoons of vinegar, stir this mixture well, and turn off the stove.
Now add sugar to it.
Add fried banana flower pieces.
Add fried onion and green chilies.
Mix.
Finally, add the chili pieces and remove from the heat.
