Hello Plant Power Lovers, starfruit lovers, I have a simple recipe for processing star fruit that is young and has a sour taste so that it is still delicious to eat, today I will make pickles from star fruit that are still ripe.

Ripe star fruit contains a lot of water that has a sweet and fresh taste, therefore star fruit can be eaten fresh without being processed first, star fruit is usually used as a fruit mixture for salad. Ripe star fruit is yellow with a sweet and fresh taste. Ripe star fruit also contains a number of nutrients that are needed by the body.

Then what about the fruit that is still ripe or the fruit that is still green? The fruit that is still young has a sour taste, so it is suitable for making pickles.

5.while waiting for the sugar solution to cool down, then we will process the star fruit and red chili, wash the star fruit and red chili.

9.cut the red chilies according to our taste, I don't remove the seeds, so that the spicy taste feels.

10.put the pieces of chili into a jar containing pieces of star fruit.

11.we check whether the sugar solution has cooled or not, if the sugar solution has cooled, we can add it to the star fruit.

The key to the success of making pickled star fruit is in the sugar solution, make sure the sugar solution has cooled when we add it to the star fruit slices. If the sugar solution is still warm when we add it to the star fruit, the star fruit will wilt and the pickles are no longer fresh.

12.It's time for us to close the jar, the goal is to maintain the freshness of the pickles and the taste is fresh.

After that keep it in the fridge for at least 12 hours so that the sugar solution seeps into the star fruit and the water on the star fruit blends with the sugar solution, this will cause a sensation of sweet, sour, salty, spicy and stay fresh.

After twelve hours, we can see the star fruit is still fresh and when we eat it tastes sweet, sour and spicy.

The way I enjoy pickled star fruit is to combine the star fruit with the red chili, it tastes yummy....

How interesting these flavors @umirais! I've usually eaten carambola raw, in juices or sweet, I've never tasted it like this. I will try to make this recipe. Thanks for sharing your content in the community.

I am reblogging so I can make this next time I get some star fruit! It looks tasty! Thanks so much for sharing! I bet it does taste delicious, and I will just have to make it and see for myself. Thanks for clarifying that the sugar solution must be cool or it will ruin the fruit (if hot).

You are welcome @apanamamama
