Hello hivers. The initiative proposed by @mipiano for this month of May is stuffed animals, although I don't have many, I have some so I decided to participate hehehe. When I was little I didn't like those baby-type dolls that most girls play with as mother and all that, I liked other types of toys, and among them were stuffed animals 🧸.
Tuve muchos peluches en mi infancia, me encantaban, recuerdo que entre mis favoritos estaba un oso rojo y un peluche de la Pantera Rosa, de la cual siempre he sido fan 🥰. No recuerdo cuántos peluches tenía en total, lo que sí es cierto es que todos se quedaron en Grecia guardados en un baúl cuando nos vinimos a Venezuela.
I had many stuffed animals in my childhood, I loved them, I remember that among my favorites was a red bear and one of the Pink Panther, of which I have always been a fan 🥰. I don't remember how many stuffed animals I had in total, what is certain is that they all stayed in Greece stored in a trunk when we came to Venezuela.
Para esta ocasión especial mis peluches tenían que estar bellos y presentables, pero cuando me dí cuenta de lo sucios que estaban algunos de ellos 🙈😬, enseguida los metí en una ponchera para lavarlos jajaja. Bueno, ahora sí, les presento mi pequeña colección de peluches, espero que la disfruten 😁☺️.
For this special occasion my stuffed animals had to be beautiful and clean, but when I realized how dirty some of them were 🙈😬, I immediately put them in a punch bowl to wash them hahaha. Well, now I present to you my small collection of stuffed animals, I hope you enjoy it 😁☺️.
Los felinos: Me gustan todos los animales, pero los felinos son mi debilidad 🤭🥰. Es de los que más tengo.
Felines: I like all animals, but felines are my weakness 🤭🥰. It's one of the ones I have the most.
Estos tres pequeños gatos son peluches originales de la marca The Cat, el blanco y el atigrado venían junto a una revista que traía un periódico que había comprado en Grecia cuando fuí de vacaciones hace unos años, estos dos eran los primeros de la colección, cada semana el periódico traía uno diferente, como verán sólo me dió chance de tener estos dos porque mis vacaciones terminaron jajaja 🤷🏻♀️.
These three little cats are original stuffed animals from The Cat brand, the white one and the tabby came along with a magazine that contained a newspaper that I had bought in Greece when I went on vacation a few years ago, these two were the first in the collection, each week the newspaper had a different one, as you will see it only gave me the chance to have these two because my vacation was over hahaha 🤷🏻♀️.
La revista trae una descripción de cada uno de estos gatitos coleccionables y algunos datos sobre su raza y personalidad, con cada nuevo número también venía información variada sobre los gatos y por supuesto un nuevo gatito para agregar a la colección.
The magazine brings a description of each of these collectible kittens and some information about their breed and personality, with each new issue also came various information about the cats and of course a new kitten to add to the collection.
Este gatito llegó a mi de manera fortuita cuando trabajaba en la parte administrativa de una tienda por departamentos. Yo había bajado a la tienda a repartir unas listas de cambios de precios a los supervisores. El supervisor del área de caballero lo encontró en el piso y me lo dió jejeje, así que estuvo unos cuantos años sobre el monitor de mi computadora en la oficina. Es diferente a los otros dos, supongo que forma parte de otra versión de la colección de The Cat.
This kitten came to me by chance when I worked in the administrative part of a department store. I had gone down to the store to distribute some lists of price changes to the supervisors. The supervisor of the gentleman's area found it on the floor and gave it to me hehehe, so it was on my computer monitor in the office for a few years. It's different from the other two, I guess it's part of another version of The Cat collection.
Bueno, este no es exactamente un peluche jajaja, es una muñeca pero como es de tela la quise incluir en esta colección. Esta hermosa gata se la compré a una amiga que entre otras cosas, crea estas muñecas y otras tradicionales, apenas la vi me encantó, la quise para mi y la compré 😸. Well, this is not exactly a stuffed animal hahaha, it's a doll but since it's made of fabric I wanted to include it in this collection. I bought this beautiful cat from a friend who, among other things, creates these dolls and other traditional ones, as soon as I saw her I loved her, I wanted her for myself and bought her 😸. Este león es uno de los más viejos de mi colección, incluso ha viajado desde Venezuela hasta Grecia y viceversa jajaja. Me lo regaló una prima y aún recuerdo la enorme emoción que sentí cuando me lo dió, me encantan los leones y siempre he presumido por ser del signo Leo 🦁 jejeje 😼😎, de niña me atraían los peluches muy grandes así que cuando mi prima llegó con este regalo mi alegría fue máxima 😁🥰.
This lion is one of the oldest in my collection, it has even traveled from Venezuela to Greece and vice versa hahaha. A cousin gave it to me and I still remember the enormous emotion I felt when she gave it to me, I love lions and I have always boasted about being a Leo sign 🦁 hehehe 😼😎, as a child I was attracted to very big stuffed animals so when my cousin arrived with this gift my joy was maximum 😁🥰.

Este mini peluche lo trae esta colita o liga para agarrar el cabello. Una amiga de la universidad me regaló un afiche inmenso de Kurt Cobain en mi cumpleaños y lo había amarrado con esta liga para el cabello jajaja.
This mini stuffed animal comes with this hair tie. A college friend gave me a huge Kurt Cobain poster for my birthday and she tied it with this hair tie hahaha.
Algunos productos suelen traer obsequios para atraer a más clientes, bueno, esta jirafa venía de regalo pegada al envase de 2 litros de esta marca de suavizante de ropa. Había ido al supermercado y me gustó, así que lo compré jajaja. Por alguna razón siempre me ha gustado usarlo de micrófono cuando me pongo a escuchar música en mi cuarto y canto 🎤🎸🤘🏻🤪🤣.
Some products usually come with gifts to attract more customers, well, this giraffe came as a gift attached to the 2-liter container of this brand of fabric softener. I had been to the supermarket and I liked it, so I bought it hahaha. For some reason I have always liked using it as a microphone when I listen to music in my room and I sing 🎤🎸🤘🏻🤪🤣.
Este peluche es un personaje de unas comiquitas que veía de niña pero que no recuerdo cómo se llamaban jajaja 🤔🤷🏻♀️. Es muy especial para mí porque me lo regaló mi primo favorito, bueno, me lo mandó con alguien que vino de visita a Venezuela, a mi hermana también le mandó uno pero no recuerdo de qué era, con él compartí mi infancia en Grecia, vivíamos en el mismo edificio, íbamos a la misma escuela y jugábamos todo el día juntos, él, mi hermana y yo eramos inseparables 🤭, fueron años maravillosos e inolvidables 🥰🤗. Lamentablemente murió trágicamente hace muchos años 🥺😥😞.
This stuffed animal is a character from some comics that I watched on TV as a child but I don't remember their names hahaha 🤔🤷🏻♀️. It's very special for me because my favorite cousin gave it to me, well, he sent it to me with someone who came to visit Venezuela, he also sent one to my sister but I don't remember what it was, I shared my childhood with him in Greece, we lived in the same building, we went to the same school and we played together all day, he, my sister and I were inseparable 🤭, they were wonderful and unforgettable years 🥰🤗. Unfortunately he died tragically many years ago 😥😞.
Esta rana me encanta, tiene cierre mágico o velcro en sus manos y pies que te permiten ponerla en muchas partes y colgarla. La compré en una tienda muy famosa en Venezuela que es farmacia y a la vez venden alimentos, cosméticos, etc. Había monos, jirafas, osos, ardillas y no recuerdo que otros animales pero a mí me gustó esta rana jajaja, es tan graciosa y además me gusta mucho el color verde.
I love this frog, he has velcro on his hands and feet that allow you to put him in many places and hang him. I bought him in a very famous store in Venezuela that is a pharmacy and at the same time sells food, cosmetics, etc. There were monkeys, giraffes, bears, squirrels and I don't remember what other animals but I liked this frog hahaha, he's so funny and I also really like the color green.
Los perritos: Sé que los perritos son bastante populares como peluches pero solo tengo estos dos.
The puppies: I know that puppies are quite popular as stuffed animals but I only have these two.
Este pequeño Snoopy es el más viejo de mi colección y es original de la marca, mi mamá nos compró dos iguales a mi hermana y a mí en el aeropuerto de Amsterdam cuando estábamos pequeñas. Traía una cinta roja en el cuello, sin embargo, esa se dañó así que la sustituí. Esta como nuevo, solo la nariz se ha dañado un poquito.
This little Snoopy is the oldest in my collection and is an original product to the brand, my mom bought two of the same ones for my sister and me at the Amsterdam airport when we were kids. He had a red ribbon on the neck, however, that one was damaged so I replaced it. It's like new, only the nose has been damaged a little.
Este Goofy también es original y me lo regaló la misma prima que me regaló el león. Lo compró en un espectáculo de Disney sobre hielo que había venido a Venezuela. De todos es el que está más dañado. La tela de sus manos y de los ojos está manchada, el pantalón y los zapatos ya tienen unos huequitos, uno de los ojos está a punto de despegarse y el chaleco amarillo que traía y que era de fieltro se rompió hace años, sus dientes se han deformado bastante porque también son de fieltro. Este Goofy tiene que estar siempre apoyado en algo porque no se sienta.
This Goofy is also original and was given to me by the same cousin who gave me the lion. She bought it at a Disney ice show that had come to Venezuela. Of all of them it's the one that is most damaged. The fabric on his hands and eyes is stained, his pants and shoes already have some holes, one of his eyes is about to come off and the yellow vest he was wearing, which was made of felt, broke years ago, his teeth are loose, they have deformed quite a bit because they are also made of felt. This Goofy always has to be leaning on something because he doesn't sit down.
Los ositos: Ningún peluche es más famoso que los osos. Si bien sólo tengo estos dos, mi mamá me cuenta que cuando era muy pequeña, tanto que ni me acuerdo jajaja, un amigo de mi papá me había regalado un enorme oso de peluche, el más grande que he tenido 😕. Lastima que no lo recuerdo 🤷🏻♀️.
The bears: No stuffed animal is more famous than bears. Although I only have these two, my mom tells me that when I was very little, so much so that I don't even remember hahaha, a friend of my dad's had given me a huge teddy bear, the biggest I've ever had 😕. Too bad I don't remember it 🤷🏻♀️.
Este pequeño osito lo encontró en la tienda una de mis compañeras de trabajo y me lo subió a la oficina jajaja 🤷🏻♀️. Aparentemente era un llavero y se le cayó a alguien. Cuando me lo dieron lo tuve que lavar porque estaba mugroso jajaja, parecía que había caminado por todos los departamentos de la tienda 🥴😬🤣🤣🤣. Ahora tenía dos compañeros sentados en el monitor, el gato a la derecha y el oso a la izquierda jajaja, como el monitor era pantalla plana les tenía que poner cinta plástica abajo para que no se cayeran jajaja 🤦🏻♀️.
One of my coworkers found this little bear at the store and brought it up to the office hahaha 🤷🏻♀️. Apparently it was a keychain and someone dropped it. When they gave it to me I had to wash it because it was filthy hahaha, it seemed like he had walked through all the departments of the store 🥴😬🤣🤣🤣. Now I had two companions sitting on the monitor, the cat on the right and the bear on the left hahaha, since the monitor was a flat screen I had to put plastic tape on the bottom so they wouldn't fall hahaha 🤦🏻♀️.
Este oso verde lo compré de manera totalmente inesperada, estaba comprando en una tienda y simplemente me gustó jajaja, a veces uno compra cosas por comprar 🤷🏻♀️. Me recuerda mucho a mi oso de peluche rojo con blanco que tenía de niña y del que les conté al principio, aunque este verde es mucho más pequeño.
I bought this green bear completely unexpectedly, I was shopping in a store and I just liked it hahaha, sometimes you buy things just to buy 🤷🏻♀️. It reminds me a lot of my red and white teddy bear that I had as a child and that I told you about at the beginning, although this green one is much smaller.
Los juguetes forman parte de lo que somos y muchos de ellos guardan historias que nos hacen recordar lugares, personas y acontecimientos que vivimos. Creo que todos recordamos algún peluche o algún juguete que en su momento fue especial para nosotros cuando éramos pequeños. Hay personas que prefieren regalarlos cuando ya han crecido y hay otros que quieren conservarlos, la verdad es que lo ideal es hacer lo que te haga sentir mejor.
Toys are part of who we are and many of them hold stories that make us remember places, people and events that we experienced. I think we all remember a stuffed animal or toy that was special to us when we were little. There are people who prefer to give them away when they have grown and there are others who want to keep them, the truth is that the ideal is to do what makes you feel better.
Personalmente no me gusta regalar mis juguetes porque forman parte de mi historia, hay algunos que quizás no me importaría mucho regalarlos pero hasta ahora no he sentido la necesidad de hacerlo.
Personally, I don't like to give away my toys because they are part of my history. There are some that I probably wouldn't mind giving away, but until now I haven't felt the need to do so.
Como habrán visto, la mayoría de estos peluches no tienen mucha historia porque sólo tres han estado conmigo desde mi niñez, sin embargo son lindos y me gusta tenerlos como decoración, todos caben en una repisa así que no ocupan casi nada de espacio. ¿Cuál te gustó más y por qué? As you may have seen, most of these stuffed animals don't have much history because only three have been with me since my childhood, however they are cute and I like to have them as decoration, they all fit on a shelf so they don't take up almost any space. I have never seen so many stuffed kittens, I always come across bears haha they are divine ❤️
My favorites: the duck because my weakness are birds and that duck is super cute, and the Snoopy, I didn't see that drawing but it's really beautiful and cute that stuffed animal, it makes you hug him 😂❤️
