Smile Crossover
Smile and Cross Culture are teaming up with a new contest to get both our communities involved with each other, making friends and sharing cultural experiences. Smile is a group that welcomes new users and helps them get more appreciation while encouraging them to become proactive members of the Hive community.
Every month we will be asking you to tell us a story from your life about a particular topic. We hope that you will share as much detail as possible and help us to understand the situation in your hometown by adding whatever cultural context you can.
The best entries every month will receive Hive delegations.

As you may know @starstrings01 is our head curator at Cross Culture and he is also part of the team at Smile. We are both really excited about bringing these groups together.
I know there are a lot of people involved in both, but we hope that we can become closer and help the newbs feel welcome and connect with people from other cultures.
New Curator
In other news, we've added @jizzyjoe to the curation team and she is going to be curation both Cross Culture Posts and posts for her own initiative, Hive Celebrates With.., a curation project to support blogs about birthday celebrations. She's been an active member in our community and I am glad to see her doing what she can to make new Hivesters feel welcome and to build her own initiative.

Our latest CCQ, 🌎🌎🌎 What are your favorite local shops? Why do you love them? Show Pictures! Give Details! is going to get an extra week. I forgot to mention, if you cannot find a picture of the shop because it's gone, or because you can't go outside because of corona, please feel free to use any picture that can give us a feel for your neighborhood or a picture of a similar shop! Please don't be discouraged if you don't have pictures.
My work with Natural Medicine
If you follow my personal blog, you may know already but I've been putting a lot of energy into helping Natural Medicine take off. For those who don't know, Natural Medicine is one of the most awesome communities at Hive, and one of the largest, and they have a token called LOTUS.
Their team is very capable but also pretty small, and because they have their own front-end and a token, there are a couple extra things they need to think about. Being a good friend of the community and someone who likes to work on my own terms, I offered to help them with various things with the goal of helping their currency become more attractive for investors and encouraging more activity in a wider variety of topics (all quality posts of course).

I love this initiative of mutual support, I think it is necessary to strengthen the ecosystem and grow together. Fortunately, I was able to understand what it took to post on NaturalMedicine.io which is the platform of that beautiful community to which I belong and which has been warm and receptive.
