It's a great idea! Here, people can not only share their experiences and expand their language skills; they can also have natives or teachers look up their content and propose corrections.
As an ex-English teacher myself, I've tried to encourage my teenager students to start blogging - no success unfortunatelly.
Here's an idea: a community where users can submit their content for a quick review.
