Yesterday, Sunday, a Rap freestyle competition took place in the main square of the city of Guatire, where I live. It is a cultural movement in my city and in Venezuela it is one of those that brings together many people with great talent in Hip Hop, singing and freestyle, which is why it is an event that always attracts a large audience.
El día ayer, domingo se dió en la plaza principal de la ciudad de Guatire, donde resido, una competencia de freestyle de Rap. Está movida cultural en mi ciudad y en Venezuela es una de las que aglutina a muchas personas con gran talento en el Hip Hop, el cantó y el freestyle, por lo cual es un evento que siempre congrega mucho público.
These types of activities are carried out by producers and fans of the urban music movement, in this case freestyle. To clarify, freestyle is a form of musical expression where a musical track is improvised and where two people have to fight in a battle who wins through improvised singing and with dynamics to add complexity to the participants. Starting with sixteen participants and leaving one as the winner.
Este tipo de actividades son hechos por productores y aficionados al movimiento urbano de la música, en este caso el freestyle. Para aclarar, el freestyle es una forma de expresión músical dónde se improvisa sobra una pista musical y en dónde dos personas tienen que librar en una batalla quien gana a través del canto improvisado y con dinámicas para ponerle complejidad a los participantes. Comenzando con diez y seis participantes y quedando uno como ganador.
As usual, on the Sunday before the start of Holy Week, Palm Sunday is celebrated, which, according to the Catholic religion, is when Jesus enters Jerusalem and is received with palms. On this occasion, during the freestyle event, public officials came to politely request that the volume of the activity be lowered since the procession would leave the church, which was accepted by all.
Cómo de costumbre, el día domingo antes del inicio de la semana santa, se celebra el domingo de ramos en el que , de acuerdo con la religión católica es cuando Jesús entra a Jerusalén y lo reciben con palmas. En ésta ocasión, durante el evento de freestyle, funcionarios públicos vinieron a pedir educadamente que se bajara el volumen de la actividad ya que saldría la procesión de la iglesia, lo cual fue acatado por todos.
The end of the freestyle competition was held in an emblematic place in Guatire called "El Calvario" and the battle ended without any problem. From the top you could see part of the city and the procession with all the parishioners. This image is good, since two activities from different cultures were face to face and always respected each other.
El final de la competencia de freestyle fue hecha en un sitio emblemático de Guatire llamado "El Calvario" y sin problema se finalizó la batalla. Desde lo alto se veía parte de la ciudad y la procesión con todos los feligreses. Está imagen es buena, ya que dos actividades de diferentes culturas estaban frente a frente y se respetó siempre una a la otra.
