It's strange how sometimes we don't go to places that are so close to us but travel much further afield instead. It happens here as well.
Yeah, this is so true! Quite often in Florence I stumble upon places which are quite famous and I'm like "why have I never been here!?" ahahah meanwhile there are some places where I've been for a few weeks in my whole like and I've seen almost everything there...
I guess that this happens because we always feel we have, and will have, time to see and visit what we have around us, so we procrastinate day after day... which doesn't make any sense, if one think about it, does it?
You're right about the procrastination and the time thing...but our time is limited and none of us really know when our time will be up so I reckon it's best to get stuff done rather than procrastinate. I get the impression you'll agree.
100%
If I can do something today, I'll do it today.
Saying "I'll do it tomorrow", more often than not, becomes "I'll never do it". I know quite a few poeple that live like that... and the truth is that they almost never act, only complain and repeat "today is not the right day, I'll do something tomorrow".
That's the right attitude for sure.
Also, Firenze...one of my favourite places in Italy!
I can see it just from the fact that you call it with its name, and not a translation!
Yeah, I have a big fleur-de-lis tattoo on my upper right arm as well, a homage of sorts.
Beautiful! It would be something to show off during a Fiorentina football match, also :)
Oh yeah, it's certainly one way to show support. 😊
