I remember when my kids would do that. Especially the first. It'd be time to go to school but he would suddenly announce "My tooth's loose!" and disappear into the bathroom. Minutes later he'd emerge with bloody fingers and mouth, holding the tooth and talking about the tooth fairy.
Kids are nuts. (But I remember doing the same thing when I was a kid)
