A quick update going through the major functions of the site, extension and backend-ish.
Not ready to release it fully yet so not publicizing the address yet until I feel like security is in a better place since it is an extension not on the web store.
Anyway, going through most functions, where there's some inconsistencies right now, etc, and some future plans for the project.

Haha it is posts like these that remind me how happy I am there are specialists pressing all the little buttons that make things work around here. I really appreciate the insight and access to the actual architects and coders and almost feel like it is "we." Then I see the code again and decide maybe I should stick to the content creation and networking. ;)

@acidyo, let me know if OK for some people to give it a try behind the scenes (not me, particularly, as I am not an artist, but I would be happy to give it a try for sure and I like to collect my own artists or movies for my personal lists or either reviewing others, although ultimately some artists I know, although @atomcollector ultimately knows a LOT more than I).

As someone who has been 'scrobbling' for over 20 years I see this as really cool as the data will be totally open. I think some people have concerns about the quantity of data. You can store anything on the blockchain, but that has a cost.
We do plan on offering encrypted scrobbles as well for those wanting to keep their data secret, or only sharing it with us so we can still have AI work in it for them.
Cause apparently not everyone wants their music history out in the open.
I guess you can make it only available to the original user. My data on last.fm is public, but on their servers. I guess I may be able to extract it all. I used libre.fm for a while, but I think it is shutting down.
I just wondered what impact all this has on Hive in general.

hummm not sure about that. Not for me... as I don't like to find out by reading "prefaces" or things like that. I usually want to ear from people that I know and associate their interpretation to what I know about that person and myself.

Very nice and a working idea! This automated system for keeping track of songs or movies will be useful to many users. I look forward to the security and other minor issues being resolved quickly and making it open to everyone. Best wishes for this new project.❤️❤️

I was able to see the subtitles I still don't understand much but I'll be waiting to try it, I'm interested in everything related to movies

The fact that you're not rushing to put it out till you're sure it's safe to be used is an evidence that it's gonna be a good tool in the end.
