In this episode, we explore the often-overlooked burden of self-care, the daily labor of maintaining a body and mind that none of us asked for. From early morning routines to facing addiction, food systems, and exercise, we ask: why is this lifelong maintenance necessary in the first place?
Tying into antinatalism, we question the ethics of procreation by reframing self-care as a lifelong liability imposed on someone without consent. We also explore the concept of “inner parenting”—the idea that before bringing a new child into the world, we must first tend to the neglected child within ourselves.
