After a busy Friday last week, with local customers back that are able to seat guests outdoors - the weekend was mostly quiet. A chilly Saturday was followed by a lovely warm Sunday, and I had the Covid Vaccine jab in the afternoon.

That all seemed fine for six hours or so, and then I started with a horrendous headache, followed by a sleepless night filled with aching limbs and pains - I can’t ever recall feeling so unwell. I just managed to make it into work by taking a good dose of pain killers, but only stayed until midday and then headed home to promptly fall asleep on the couch.

And the illness has stayed all week, shifting to aching shoulders and back and a really painful arm the jab was injected it. But as usual it’s been soldier on regardless, keeping up with coffee roasting is becoming more of a full time job then ever - the little 5kg roaster has had a real pounding this week running Tuesday to Friday most of each day.

Other then work it’s been quiet, mainly because I’ve been ready to sleep as soon as I get home. For entertainment I’ve started working through the whole James Bond back catalogue - the stunts and effects might look a bit poor compared to modern day standards on the early ones - but really still quite impressive considering what basic technology they had to work with.

Hopefully fully recovered from the jab for next week.

That sounds horrible, luckily you managed to get through it. Roast away brother, they are drinking it up.👍

Shit you had the jab!

Fortunately I'm in a position to not have to take part in the largest medical trial in human history. so I'll give it three years (the normal trial period for any new medicine) then assess the risks and see if I want/ need it then!

I hope there aren't any long term effects!

Oh I totally know what you are talking about. It proper kicked my ass. Was that your first jab or #2? Mine was ok on #1 but #2 was brutal! I heard it really affected people that may have had Covid first the worst. Hope you are back to 100% soon!
