I was going to ask you if you've ever had to deal with a rather liquid deposit. In that case I guess you would be feeling ill, so how would you deal with that, not just in the getting it on the shovel? Having said that, you'd think after two years of composting any diseases or parasites would be long gone.

Will you build a second area once that one is full, so it can be left in peace to break down?

It's not too much different with runnier situations. The straw does a good job.

Yes, I imagine we'll build a second one on the opposite side.

Fricking brilliant and simple, dearest @cahlen - this is one of my favourite subjects, compost toilets!! :-D I've never seen a set-up that's so straightforward... I'd prefer a more structured procedure, with a deck above, like a tree-toilet, and a drop between arse and straw, but I love that this shows how you can start with the basics and then elaborate as per your taste :-D

On the subject of partnership - just to keep your optimism open - there are women like myself who consider knowledge and practical experience of compost toilets a highly attractive quality in a Man! :-D Yeh!!

Blessings!

Haha, compost toilet expertise as a factor of attraction, that's a funny thought! I like this setup better than the others I've tried, but that's probably just because I like things as simple as they can be.

lol..Gross..lol.. How many people are using this toilet ? you alone or more people ?
I really need a toilet for my own usage, otherwise when I sit on it in the middle of the night and somebody else wants to take a dump, thats horrible...lol..,✌️🤣🤣😳🙄🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

is it fertile if we use it on small plants
