CBRS Podcast Episode 44: Hive Blockchain Buzz and More

▶️ Watch on 3Speak

Hello Hive ❤️

Hey Hive community! We're back with episode 44 of the CBRS Podcast, all about the Hive Blockchain and its exciting world. After missing one episode due to vacation, we jumped right in to chat about #Web3 updates, community actions, and some personal stories. We kept things light and #fun, even though @artakush was super tired from a late shift. In this article, we'll share what we talked about, so you can catch up if you missed the podcast. Let's dive in!

Hive-Echo: Growing Strong and Spreading the Word

We started with @Hive-Echo, our go-to spot for Hive Blockchain calls to action. Week 31 was awesome – our followers jumped to 411! It's great to see more people joining the Hive army and supporting Web3 ideas. We reminded everyone to follow Hive-Echo on Hive and X (or like @Minigunner likes to call it "Twitter")

We also had to spin the wheel for our weekly CTA, but oops – we forgot to do it during the #podcast! No worries, we spun it separately and added it to the recording. Big congrats to our five lucky winners, each snagging 10 HIVE: @patienceakpan, @hiventhusiast, @royaluy, @jennyzee1, and @palabras1. Keep engaging for your chance to win next time!

We also shared a story from X where a guy named "Stephen DeFi Dojo" posted about his top 30 stablecoins. He didn't explain why he picked them, and guess what? HBD wasn't on the list! Our community jumped in with tons of comments explaining why #HBD is a top decentralized stablecoin – no #KYC needed and backed by real value. We even tried asking Grok for a stablecoin list, and HBD didn't show up there either. It shows how AI often misses the cool details of blockchain projects like ours. But hey, we did our part to spread the HBD love!

Oh, and there was a funny mix-up: We accidentally voted 100% on @forkyishere's comment instead of spreading it out. He got a big payout by mistake, but he's such a nice guy – he wanted to fix it right away. We'll sort it out soon and make sure everyone gets their fair share.

Community Questions and Transparent Talks

We got into some deeper chats about Hive projects. There's this one called @hiveland.dapp that's been around since 2022, and they just got 20,000 HBD from the @valueplan, and we wondered what it's for. If anyone knows more, drop a comment! We just want to learn and keep things clear in our blockchain world.

Then, a user named @tarazkp raised questions about #SpendHBD and possible downvoting. He didn't jump to conclusions – he asked first, and got answers from folks like @Starkerz and @theycallmedan in a one-hour video HERE. They explained how @thedistriator builds a real economy with HBD for businesses, all from Starkerz and Dan's pockets. It's not a scam; it's true believers creating decentralized tools. We love how Hive isn't just for blogging – it's a data blockchain for sales, payments, and more. Transparency is key, and tools like Checkinwith.xyz help show real stats on onboarded users and @thedistriator on businesses.

We also touched on downvoting in general. It's personal, but it would be cool if downvoters shared reasons, like a quick note. That way, new folks learn without leaving Hive. We stressed guiding new users – not just bringing them in, but teaching them step by step, like we did with a friend on her first posts.

Upcoming Events and Web3 Gatherings

Events related to Hive are heating up in Web3 space! We talked about the Hive Witness Town Hall on September 12 at 12 p.m. EDT – join to hear from witnesses and chat ideas.

We shared thoughts on NFTopia, a virtual event with auditoriums and VR walking. It was simple but fun, with a couple hundred people. No lag, and it's a fresh way to connect in #decentralized worlds.

Crypto Latin Fest just wrapped up, along with a Hive meetup in Aachen and we can't wait for posts about what went down. And don't miss Conf3rence in Dortmund on September 3-4. Germans (and anyone else) should go; it's close and full of blockchain talks. One of us is even thinking about a quick train trip there!

Project Updates and Personal Vibes

Big shouts to @alex-rourke for rebranding to @web3creative "Decentralize Creative". It's a bold move, but we're excited to team up in upcoming projects.

On the tech side, Checkinwith.xyz got cool updates from @sagarkothari88. Now you can see real KPIs like onboarded people, posts, and stats – super helpful for tracking Hive user growth.

We also got VIMM going open source, which means we can soon live stream on multiple spots like YouTube, Kick, Twitch and on Hive at once. We're pumped!

We wrapped up with vacation stories. One of us had a great time in #Lithuania seeing family, going to a concert (laser shows and all), and getting nostalgic about moving back. Pensions, jobs, and lower costs make it tempting – maybe even start a Lithuanian podcast! The other dealt with work and home fixes, but it's all good. Hive feels like home too, no matter where we are.

That's episode 44 in a nutshell! If you want the full chat, check our podcast on YouTube or Hive. What do you think about these topics? Comment below, and let's keep #building the Hive Blockchain together. Stay buzzing!

Thank you very much for these awesome podcasts, guys! On the subject of downvoting, I've seen a lot of damage that it's done to individuals and communities, and I've been talking for a while now about how the downvote feature needs to be changed, so that a reason must be given for downvotes. From my perspective, downvotes with no communication as to the reason, is abuse. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

A huge gigantic congratulations to the mentioned winners.🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
You all deserve a shiny medal 🏅🏅🏅🏅🏅🎖️🎖️🎖️🎖️
The issue discussed is very important, thank you for raising the issue as regards to down voting. I sincerely hope for a better outcome as I solemnly remain grateful to belong to an amazing and unique team of Hivers.

Great Great Hivers forever 😂💛🥂

Thank you for the mention at 31:52, my friends and for the follow back! Like you said, I've been building something bigger than myself and I believe HIVE has a place in this project.
As you can see, I've started a YouTube channel where I hope to bring new users to HIVE

As well as a website:

Everything is in its very early stages, but you have to start somewhere, right?

Awesome podcast episode, gentlemen!!
