Kicking Off the Week with Hive Buzz
Hey everyone, we're back in the CBRS Podcast studio with Minigunner and Artakush. We're diving into all the Hive Blockchain action that's been happening lately. The year is heating up with events, and right now, it's all about #HiveFest.
As always, we start things off with @Hive-Echo. We spun the wheel to pick our lucky five winners who each got 10 Hive. This awesome innitiative is supported by our friends at @threespeak, and even though fewer people entered this time because of @HiveFest focus, it's still a solid group. Let's shout out the winners: First up is @omarzv-sw, congratulations on your 10 Hive. Next is @emreal the second winner, congrats on grabbing those 10 Hive. Winner number three is @mdakash62, you cannot stand still, awesome job on winning 10 Hive. Number four is @oadissin, yeah, you're lucky, man, enjoy your 10 Hive. And finally, winner five is @ezemhugo, it's great to see new and old names mixing in, congrats on your win. Thanks again to @threespeak for making this wheel of names happen.

All About Hive Fest Excitement
HiveFest has been full of talks, energy, and everything in between. The location in Malaysia was beautiful, and it's amazing to see all the pictures and videos. We were a bit surprised by the turnout, though, with only about 40 to 50 people showing up. It's probably because of how far it is for many folks. For comparison, Mexico had around 60, and we always pictured these events with 150 or 200 people. Amsterdam was bigger, with over 100 attendees, which felt crazy and packed.
The spot itself was incredible, like a theater turned into something even cooler. We loved the video where everything was moving around, it would have been trippy to be there. The song at the end of the day was a nice touch too. We talked about how it might have been better to hold @ChainCulture before the first day of HiveFest. That way, we could keep more people around, maybe with free tickets or a wheel of names to get businesses excited and introduce them to Hive. #ChainCulture was mostly businesses presenting, but we're wondering about the real impact on Hive beyond the videos.
We brainstormed some ideas over coffee on how to make things more interesting, especially for a potential @HiveFest in Lithuania. We're passionate about making it happen in the middle of Europe, where it's easier for people to travel. Flights are cheap, and it's close to countries like Poland, Belarus, and the Baltic states. Driving across Lithuania is just three hours, similar to the Netherlands. We're putting in all our efforts to create something super cool, but we're not spilling the details yet.

Chain Culture Highlights and Fun Moments
@ChainCulture was nice too, with about 400 registered but around 100 showing up, which is more than HiveFest. It was aimed at locals, and the key thing is we got new partners, ideas, and collaborations. More eyes on Hive, and the event was spectacular. The location was wild, organized really well by Roeland with help from locals. He had to be on the ground to make it all happen.
The most fun part was the #Pengu showing up. Everyone was hugging it and taking pictures right away. We saw all the merch that people brought, and it made us want some too. @roelandp, bring some merch back to Holland. And hey, we can just drive to Amsterdam and grab it ourselves. Overall, it was a great event and a solid idea to build buzz around Hive.

Game Updates, Hive Changes, and What's Next
Moving on, @Splinterlands conflict is wrapping up soon. By the time you hear this, it's probably done, so check out those beautiful cards up for grabs. This time it was Calamity, and we love seeing those one percent chances. We have around 250 to 300 chances, but some wagons got destroyed, and recovering them costs too much. We also saw ideas floating around for scrolls to unbound Cards. Unbounding can be pricey, sometimes costing as much as the card itself, which feels weird if you're trying to sell.
@Ecency updates are super cool. The design looks way better now, with the left-side menu feeling just right. It was a bit plain before, but now it's spot on. You can connect different wallets from blockchains like BTC, Ethereum, Solana, and more to your Ecency wallet. It's like creating a seed phrase for extra keys, but you can't transfer coins to others yet, that's coming soon. This multi-chain wallet setup is game-changing, and you just do it once to connect everything. Our wallets are non-custodial, which is great, but we advise creating a new account to test it out safely.
Hive Blockchain #HardFork is set for November 19th, about a month away. We're excited, even if subsidies are going. We had a great brainstorm on ideas that could change Hive big time, but we're keeping them under wraps until we package them nicely.
We're also working on another project and Intract isn't responding, so getting Hive on their system might not happen. Instead, we're trying a bounty of 100 USDT where people create a Hive account and do something simple like post on X. It's a test to see retention and how many join. If it works, it's another opportunity.
That's it for this week. Thanks for listening, check our podcast on YouTube to help with watch hours, and we'll see you next time. Have a great day!

Thanks for another great show! I have to agree that HiveFest did look great, and it's a pity that we didn't have more Hivians (and non-Hivians)... But, as you said, new connections and collaborations were made, some good foundations for future apps were built, and some new apps are already out there... Finally, a bit of positivity... 😃
And regarding the next HiveFest... Bribing, sorry, lobbying, for the next HF location can begin! 😃
