Hey everyone, it's us again coming at you from the CBRS studio. In this episode, we dove into some exciting updates, market dips, and big community happenings. We kept it real and fun, just like always. Stick around as we break it down for you.
Market Dips and Speculations
We kicked things off with the usual @Hive-Echo segment, spinning the Wheel of Names for our winners. Congrats to everyone who won, @daverick, @hiventhusiast, @enraizar, @mildreds.garden and @maykit55even though we had to record a day early and announce them later.
On the market side, things got rough lately. #Bitcoin dropped to around 109,000, and folks are buzzing about possible Trump involvement or some big short positions that raked in 88 million bucks overnight. We tried digging into it, but it's a deep rabbit hole. If you have insider info, drop a comment and fill us in. #Hive took a hit too, dipping to 13.4 cents before bouncing back to about 13.9. Logging into our accounts felt like a punch, seeing the value drop. It was a real blood bath, but we're hanging in there.
App Updates and Rebrands
On a brighter note, @Keychain rolled out version 3.11 with some cool features. Now you can do swaps through trusted exchanges like StealtheX.io and simpleswap.io. It's not instant in-app yet, but it auto-fills the details on their sites, making it smoother. We hope for deeper integration soon. They also added support for five new languages: Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, and Indonesian. These small tweaks build up to make the app even better for logging in, checking wallets, and gaming.
Then there's the boreholes project, which rebranded to Wells for All. We love this move, it shakes off the constant "Hive" label and lets the brand stand on its own. People can discover it's powered by Hive if they dig deeper, just like @Splinterlands.
Community Wins and Events
@thedistriator report blew us away with nearly 100,000 HBD spent and 400 businesses onboarded. Big shoutout to @Starkerz and the team for doing this with their own time and money, no DHF asked. It's all about building ecosystems. It creates a snowball effect where businesses see the benefits and jump in for cashback and more clients. We suggest they all register on BTCMAP.org too, for extra visibility and to promote Hive alongside Bitcoin payments. We reminded the @SkateHive crew to do the same for their shop.
Last week, we checked out the Hive Witness Town Hall, full of healthy discussions on keeping the blockchain strong. It's key to chat with witnesses and users to plan a better future.
Mark your calendars: @HiveFest is on October 15, and @ChainCulture on October 17 with over 366 people signed up. That's triple some past HiveFests. Props to the team for lining up speakers and partners. We think starting with ChainCulture could boost HiveFest attendance, maybe with discounts or ticket giveaways via a spin-the-wheel game. We're stealing that idea for our own events.
